When I started writing 'Mind Games' almost 2 years ago, I didn't think it would turn out to be what it is today.
Up until then, I would write short stories purely for my own entertainment. Or attempt longer stories, get bored and leave them written half way.
When I started writing 'Mind Games' it was just a germ of an idea. I didn't know where the plot would go. I certainly wasn't expecting it to be 69 parts long!
The past two years were personally difficult for me. And in the midst of battling my own demons, 'Mind Games' almost wrote itself.
What I did struggle with for the longest time was how to end it.
It's disappointing how so many books, movies and web/TV series keep you at the edge of your seat all throughout, only to end on a depressingly flat note (GoT S8 is my current grouse).
What finally did inspire the current ending is the memory of a placard I had seen at a hospital ward, while my mum was battling for her life - All renews itself. Nothing perishes.
A hopeful statement. And yet, scary.
I tried to end this story the best way I felt I could. And I hope it hasn't disappointed you all.
More than anything, what inspired me to finish this tale were the consistent reads, votes and positive (thankfully no negative :)) comments from you all!
This story wouldn't be possible without you, so thank you all!
I will be super glad to hear your thoughts on the plot, my amateur writing and/or the not so happy ending.
Because, just like life, stories can be re-written :)
Much love to you all ♡
