It wasn't long before Mia decided to return to the castle. It had been 4 days and she hadn't talked to anyone since then. Things were pretty clear in her mind at that point.

As soon as she landed in Italy, she headed towards the castle. As soon as the castle was within her eyesight, she knew something was wrong. She entered and not even a minute later, she was joined by Felix, Demetri, Alec and Jane.

"Oh thank heavens you're here." Jane said looking relieved.

"What's wrong?" Mia asked immediately, getting straight to the point.

"Everyone is fighting." Demetri told her.

"You see, Master Aro was extremely upset about your absence and indirectly blamed Master Caius. He did not take it well at all. He claimed that it was because of James. James has the ability to make people believe what he wants them to. But it only lasts for a minute. Caius claimed that it was long enough to chase you away." Felix explained.

"Caius wants James killed for it. But Aro argues that if that was the case then you would have returned and that it was not at all long enough seeing as looked at Alec's memory with you." Jane said.

"And in his anger, Aro decided to bring James along here." Alec said. "Master Caius got Maria here, you see."

"Caius got Maria?" Mia asked.

Alec nodded.

"And Bella is in the prison." Jane added.

"And Master Marcus is extremely unhappy with the recent turn of events. He doesn't like Maria being here. And he wants Bella to be punished and done with. With so much trouble inside the Volturi, he thinks that we're becoming weak." Demetri said. "And everyone is taking sides. And most are with Marcus or Aro. Everyone likes you, Mia. They don't want Maria here."

Just then, they reached the throne room. Mia opened the doors and saw Maria standing in front of Caius, holding his hand.

Everyone turned towards her and Caius stood up, dropping Maria's hand. "Mia! Darling. I missed you these days." He said.

"You don't do a very good job showing that." Mia said. She then turned to Maria. "Away from my throne Bint."

She walked towards her throne. As soon as she sat down, she realised it has someone's scent on it.

"Why was this woman on my throne?" Mia asked Aro, pointing towards Maria.

"She decided that she was worthy of sitting there." Aro replied angrily.

Mia turned to Maria.

"Oh! We're friends! It was only for a few moments." Maria said.

"We are not friends. I'm your queen and you will treat me as such. This is a queen's throne and you will do well to stay away from it." Mia sneered. "And I will show you how cruel a queen can be if you do not heed my warning."

"Mia, dearest, like she said, it was only a few moments and then..." Caius started.

"Oh, don't you start with this nonsense." Mia said. "I'm truly fed up. You are a very kind King, I'm not such a kind queen. If it's so normal, offer her your throne next time."

She leaned back in her throne. "Queen Amelia is back. I believe there are numerous things we need to deal with."
