It had been a month. A month of icy stares from Audrey. Why? I didn't fully understand. But something else had to of happened in that room with Ryder.

I walk up to her locker and lean against the one next to it, "Okay it's been a month. I'm sick of this. Just tell me what's going on."

Audrey sighs, "I just wanted to see what he'd do."

I shake my head, "I know you Audrey. It's more than that."

She rolls her eyes, "No. It's not."

I sigh, "You know this was your idea. I asked you if you wanted me to stop. And if you want me to, I will. I've gotten a lot of stuff. We could just ask other girls their opinions for the rest of it."

She shakes her head, "No, you've made it this far. But pretty soon you're going to have to do something to make it seem like you're not that good of a girlfriend. We don't want him thinking you've changed too much right?"

I gulp, "Right. I'm just fixing things for you anyway."

When I leave Creative Writing and head to lunch I sit down at the table to start working on my assignment.

Ryder slides into his seat next to me and kisses my cheek, "Aren't you going to eat?"

I shake my head, "No. I just want to get this stupid assignment over with."

He frowns and snatches the paper from me, reading over it.

"Oh I'm doing this. It'll be easy."

I frown at him, "Ryder that's a serious assignment. It's not easy. You have to think about who you want to be as a parent. Do you want to be a strict parent and make sure you know what's going on? Do you want to give them step-by-step guidelines on how they should live their life?"

He frowns, "I guess I didn't think of it that way."

I kiss his cheek and snatch my paper back, "It's a lot to think about."

He nods and eats a fry as he tries to get me to eat one, I shake my head, "No I'm working on my homework."

He sighs, "Fine, but I'm making sure you eat after school."

"She's busy after school," Harper says sitting down next to Preston.

Ryder frowns, "Doing what?"

"Student council," I sigh, "We're assinging booths for the senior fair."

He frowns, "Oh. That."

I nod and Preston grins, "Who do you think will get the kissing booth this year?"

Carter chuckles as he sits, "Hopefully someone hot," he looks at Ryder, "Last year it was Tristy. Talk about wow."

Ryder grins and chuckles for a moment before glancing at me, "Uh sorry."

I roll my eyes, "You guys realize it's probably going to be Audrey, Harper, Me, and Savannah running that thing right? All the other girls in student council are not going to want that job. I'll probably end up in the dunk tank too."

Carter shrugs, "Three out of four isn't bad."

I roll my eyes, "You are a pig."

Ryder shrugs, "The dunk tank isn't that bad. Barely anyone is going to actually hit the target."

I sigh, "Well they'll try. I know the girls will try, and the guys who think that I screwed them over will try."

I glance at Trace and he says, "So who is all going to prom?"
