Chapter 9: The Guardian

"A long time ago...

Theres a legend of connection, man and wolf, power and freedom.. 

It speaks of a young wolf named Farkas, wounded in battle he sought help from the humans but no one would take him in...

Until a young girl saw the poor creature, her name was Adaline. 

Adaline was always so loving of those in need, and her father would do anything to make her smile. Little did Adaline know that Farkas would not only change her life but start a spiral of events that would spark the normal canine the humans know today...

Many days past and Farkas grew attached to the young girl. Eventually though, his wound would heal and he would have to leave.

So as his pain vanished he began faking, Adalines father became aware of this but not once did he take Farkas away from his daughter. For she smiled brightest when with him.

A few years past and the village came to know and love Farkas, Even sparking a revolution and eventually. A injured she-wolf came to town and it was love at first sight.

A neighbour to Farkas's humans took the she-wolf in and she too became attached to the two-legged creatures.

Farkas began to court the she-wolf who he now knew as Rayi. They became mates and so one day, Rayi was pregnant. 

The eight pups became the first fully domestic canine. The towns people loved them.

One day, When Adaline was much more a young women then a girl, and Farkas old and grey. 

A young man became aggressive with Adaline, Farkas put a paw forward and attacked the stranger to protect his friend, his family. 

He was thrown against a tree and his spine broke. This old wolf would not survive to see the sun set. 

No one knows what became of Adaline after that, for her happiness disappeared with the life of that wolf.

Farkas was Adalines Guardian.."
