DYLANS P.O.V
A month and 2 weeks had passed by so quickly...Kanvas's was getting more depressed and her dad stayed in bed. My mom had told us last night that he's in some real pain and won't last much longer. I went to the doctor today and the doctor told me that my heart might fail me soon. I know I need to find a heart donor but I've been waiting 3 years and no one has donated one. I mean there not one for me ... I want to tell Kanvas but theirs never a right time. I don't know how I'm going to tell her.
"Del?"my mom asked from the kitchen
"Yeah " I sighed knowing I'll have to do something
"Come bring Kens soup to him while I run to the store " ken? I'm guessing Mr.Tills
"Yeah sure " I throw on my plain white shirt and walk down to the kitchen.
The door closes as I pick up the bowl of soup. On my way down the hall I notice that kanvas's door is open and she's not in their , I guess she went with my mom.
I open the door and place the soup and water on Mr.Tills lap.
"Well I haven't seen you in awhile " her dad said in a raspy voice
"Yeah...." I scratched my head nervously
"Don't you think that's odds I mean we do live in the same house. just a door away from yours- well my guest room?" he said
"The soup should be good..."
"Listen Dylan we need to talk "
I swallowed nervously " about what?"
"I know I don't -don't have much time " he Caughed " but I want you to take care of my little girl ... and I know that you need to be around to do that ..."
"I will- "
Mr Tills cut me off " this is really important just listen "
I shook my head and he continues talking " when I die.... I'm going to donate my heart to you "
My mouth dropped open and I stood their frozen. " why me ?"
" Because you and your mom are the Only people who can really take care of Kanvas ...."
"Are you sure ?I mean- "
" I won't need it when I'm dead " I smiled and only stood their listening to him mumble about how I needed it
I was so happy but, what would my mom , Kanvas even say to this ?

KANVAS P.O.V
Me and Dylan's mom trip to the store ended up being us shopping for hours.
" Well that was fun " his mom said enthusiastically. I smiled and dragged the bags that were mine from out of the truck.
His mom grabbed hers and then we both headed to the front door of my house. Maybe I should call it ours since their living here.
" Are you hungry ?" his mom asked
" Yeah but just for a little snack " I poked my belly as I waited for her to unlock the front door
She opened the door and it felt a little cold "Tengo Frio!"wow, I didn't think I learned anything in spanish then I say that. I'm impressed.
He mom laughs as she says " Si, muy Frio"
I quickly make my way to the kitchen and savage for food, literally..
After deciding on a bowl of ice cream I throw two cookies on top and start to smash them.
"Well goodnight , I'm going to go check on your dad " she says
