Broken hearted

"You know, Alyssa," Rebecca began, walking up the small staircase connected to the pot. "I get the feeling I was wrong about you..."

"It's the same over here." Alyssa admitted, stirring the soup. "I'm sorry about the way that I treated you Rebecca."

"I'm sorry too." Rebecca apologized sincerely. "At first I thought you were trying to take my Frankie away from me--

Alyssa frowned a little, still facing away from the other girl. She still liked Frank.

"--but I guess I was wrong."

"Yeah..." Alyssa said uneasily, reflecting back on the time when Frank and Len performed a song for her in the morning. And when she cuddled next to Frank back in the shed just before Rebecca said his nick name. And the other time when she added hearts around her painting of Frank's head and set it in front of his door and hid behind a shrub and watched him blush three shades of red. [Didn't know this happened did yuh] And when she kissed the Frank and Len bobble head in the bathroom to practice for the real thing.

"Oh, hi Iris." She heard Rebecca's voice say.

Alyssa turned around to find Iris nervously hopping from foot to foot at the kitchen doorway.

Rebecca noticed the anxious look on Iris' face. "Don't worry, Iris." She said, giggling."It'll be done in a minute."

Ruby walked into the kitchen. "Nice job, guys!" She praised. "You're actually working together this time!"

Alyssa and Rebecca smiled at each other. "Yeah, I guess we are." Rebecca said. "We both apologized and everything."

"Good job!" Ruby exclaimed, putting up two thumbs. She then turned to the Cyclops girl. "Come on Iris, let's leave them be." She gently nudged Iris out of the kitchen.

'Maybe it's better this way,' Iris thought. 'They're finally getting along, maybe what I saw was a mistake....'Rebecca and Alyssa worked hard on the soup chatting amongst themselves about frank and lens music but one thing Rebecca caught that Alyssa said "there the best musicians ever too bad there isn't a female in there band"she shrugged it off "well actually there is a female in there band" Alyssa asked "who?" Rebecca replied "uh me" Alyssa replied "oh right sorry it's just they never play a lot with you" Rebecca started to feel a burning sensation in her "well actually the only time I didn't play was there last concert" Rebecca thought to her self "oh gosh frank forgot our date! Why did he not at least tell me!?" Alyssa and Rebecca finally finished the soup they had a huge amount of leftovers so they decided to serve it for dinner

"Delicious!" Ruby exclaimed at the dinner table..

"You think so?" Alyssa asked, setting down two bowls of soup for Frank and Len. She beamed at them as she served SkullBoy's food, not realizing Rebecca noticed.

"I KNOW so." Ruby smiled. "I don't think there will be any leftovers, tonight."

"Yup."

"No doubt."

"Indeed." Everyone agreed.

Rebecca sat down with her share, she stared down at the soup, not touching it once. "Frank, Len?" She said.

"Yes?" Frank and Len said in unison through a full mouth. Nobody else was talking, too busy savoring the soup.

"When am I gonna get to rehearse?" She asked, crossing her arms.

"Rehearse for what?" Frank asked.

"What do you mean?" Rebecca snapped. "Aren't I apart of the band?!"

Everyone looked taken aback by her outburst and stopped eating to stare.

"Of course you are!" Frank tried to reassure her. "You know that, right Len?" He looked to his brother for backup.

"Well," Len began in an unsure voice. "We did get all the lyrics down by ourselves. And We do sound pretty killer by ourselves."

Frank glared at his brother. "You weren't supposed to say that, Len...." He hissed through gritted teeth.

"Of course you're apart of the band, 'Becca!" He said, turning back to an empty chair. "Rebecca? Rebecca?"

Rebecca was just outside the kitchen doorway. "You even forgot about our date!" She yelled, tears brimming in her eyes. "If you like Alyssa so much, then why don't you just date HER?!"

Alyssa and Frank were the most surprised by her actions. Ruby looked very upset, they were just getting along earlier! The rest looked like they were stuck in an awkward moment, fiddling with the silverware and stuff on the table. Rebecca stormed outside to the garage.

'I thought we were friends...' Alyssa thought, narrowing her eyes. 'But I guess she thinks she's just too good for me.'Then she thought back to Rebecca's last sentence before she'd stormed outside. 'Maybe I will try to date, Frank.' She thought with a smirk
