(6) Ice cream with leaves

Author's POV:

The next day Jungkook and Taehyung were again sitting in the library after their classes. The grey haired male was trying to teach his younger the stuff he was curious about.

"You got the difference between conscious and subconscious mind right?", the older asked.

"Yes, I think I got it now. So you are aware of the conscious mind which thinks logical and handles a task before it gives it to the subconscious mind that is more primitive. This way we are given the chance to do two things at once, like walking and talking, because of the fact, that we already learned how to walk and talk, we don't have to think about how to do it again. It's a natural action now thanks to the subconscious mind, but we aren't aware anymore how we learned this two thing when we were little, so that part goes to the unconscious mind."

"Exactly, I'm proud of you" Taehyung smiled.

"Is that the reason why time flies by so quickly when you don't focus on it, because the subconscious mind is primitive and can't sense time, but if you focus on it, time won't be fast, because you are aware of it and using your conscious mind?", Jungkook asked.

"That should be the answer."

"Great, so it's this simple and we are done for today, thank you hyung", the younger said stretching.

"I guess we are done. You are actually good at psychology, I don't get why you want a tutor. Is it to reach your definition of perfection?", the older asked.

"I really want to learn more about certain things I'm interested in, so I'm trying to do as much as I can to know more. I always wanted to make my father proud of me."

"So, you are using me for your benefits?", Taehyung asked bluntly.

The brown haired male had to blink before his eyes went big.

"What? No! Are you really thinking I'm using you for my own good? Hyung, I would never do that! You are my friend and I... You were joking again right?"

The latter had a hard time holding his laughter, "I'm sorry, but I can't help it, your reactions are just to cute not to do it."

Jungkook's cheeks reddened as he looked away, "D-did you just call me cute? Don't say that again... I'm actually manly. You are the cute one here."

Now was the point where the grey head couldn't hold his laughter anymore.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Of course you are really manly, but I'm not cute that's for sure. Now, do you remember that you still have to buy me ice cream?", Taehyung cheerfully asked.

How could Jungkook forget about that.

"Yea, I remember that", the younger said looking to the other, "we can go to the café where Yoongi hyung and Hobi hyung work. You remember the café we go sometimes?"

"Why are we still here then? Let's go!", he quickly stood up and packed his things.

And I'm the cute one of course, that's all the younger could think as he watched his hyung with amusement.

It was already evening, when the two boys arrived at the café, where weren't many people except them and Yoongi, who had the last shift.

"Jungkook? Taehyung? What are you doing here, we will close now", the oldest of them said.

"I promised Taehyung hyung to buy him ice cream, so I have to keep my word", the maknea stated.

"I already cleaned Jungkook."

"Please?", the youngest tried to ask again uncertain.

After thinking about it, Yoongi went to where the ice cream was.

"Fine, which flavour do you want to have?", the shorter male asked.

"Strawberry for him and cookie dough for me please."

"There you go. Now pay for it and leave, I have other plans for today", the older said in a rush.

So Jungkook did what he was told and left with Taehyung.

After walking for a long time in the cold autumn weather in silence and eating their ice, Jungkook began to speak.

"It's really cold outside and you still wanted ice cream."

"I like sweets, what can I do?"

The brown head just looked at the latter and soon found himself admiring the other.

Taehyung's grey long hair was just perfect with his dark brown eyes. His sharp jawline and defined face were mesmerizing to Jungkook and to top that all, the slightly smaller one looked adorable with his big light brown pullover, eating his strawberry ice.

Suddenly, Taehyung stopped in the middle of the way which caused Jungkook to stop his track too.

"What's wrong?", the younger asked furrowing his eyebrows.

But the other didn't respond, so he looked to the same direction Taehyung did, only to find a pile of leaves.

"Taehyung? Are you listening to me?"

The latter shook his head and looked to Jungkook, "Hm? Yea, I'm listening. We can go now."

After saying that, he looked again to the pile of leaves. Suddenly Jungkook smirked and stated, "You know..."

Taehyung watched Jungkook smirking.

"I know what?"

Jungkook stepped towards the older.

"You know, you can just jump into the leaves if you want. I don't mind it", the younger finished starring at the other one who was blushing.

"Why would I do that? That's weird and I'm not a little kid anymore."

"Oh, ok. I guess you have to watch me play then", and with that the taller one jumped into the leaves, leaving a dumbfounded Taehyung back.

Taehyung's POV :

There where leaves flying around everywhere and in middle of all that was Jungkook, playing and laughing like a little kid. He looked adorable with his bunny smile and hair bouncing up and down everytime he jumped.

Should I join him? I always wanted to play with leaves, but am I not to old for this?

Before I knew it Jungkook grabbed my arm to which I flinched, but I was soon standing in the pile if leaves with him which was noticeably smaller now.

He threw a handful of leaves to me that I tried to block, but couldn't do it in time, so it hit me.

He laughed his bunny smile again and I had to admit, I started to like it.

After a while we both were laughing and throwing leaves until the whole street was full with it.

"The people living here won't be happy to see this", I stated.

"Yea you're right, we should leave before someone catches us."

We both were running as fast as we could in this autumn night and I have to say that this night was the only night that I had so much fun with someone other than hyung.
