Chapter 12 (Conversation)

Tessa's POV

I woke up early in the morning and got ready for the day. I first ate breakfast then went for a run, after I went to starbucks then I went to the hospital to visit Jake.

*At the hospital*

I got to Jake's room and saw him already awake.

Tessa: "Hey Jake, how are you feeling?"

Jake: "Great, you?"

Tessa: "Good"

(Awkward silence came)

Tessa: "Btw, why are you here?"

Jake: "Here, in Fresno?"

Tessa: "Yah"

Jake: "Ummm... I was about to visit you until that stupid car accident happened"

Tessa: "What about school?"

Jake: "It's sem-break so I had a time to visit you"

Tessa: "You know, you didn't change from the time I last saw you"

Jake: "What do you mean?"

Tessa: "You're still sweet, handsome, and everything you were before"

Jake: "Thanks Tessa"

(Another awkward silence)

Tessa: "Any new love life?"

Jake: "Nothing can replace you beautiful. About you?"

Tessa: "Im not really into other boys at the moment"

Jake: "Ok..... btw when can I leave this place? I hate hospitals"

Tessa: "The doctor said you can leave about 1-2 days from now. Now its for you to decide when you wanna leave, tomorrow or the day after tomorrow"

Jake: "Tomorrow will do"

Tessa: "Ok, btw want to something to eat or drink?"

Jake: "Nah"

Tessa: "Then just get some rest ok"

Jake: "Btw, thank you"

Tessa: "For what?"

Jake: "Everything"

I just smiled at him and he went off to sleep. Jake slept most of the day so I went out to get some food for him. I brought him some hamburger and fries. When I get back I saw Jake using his phone.

Tessa: "Hey Jake, I bought some food"

Jake: "Thanks"

Jake ate the food I bought for him and he went back to sleep"
