Once Upon A Time In Konoha (SasuSaku Fanfiction)

Chapter One

Okay.. this story begins with "Once upon a time" because all the good ones do of course..

So, once upon a time in Hidden Leaf Village of Konoha, there lived a powerful and wealthy clan, the Haruno clan.

The Haruno clan is very well-respected and ruled not only Konoha, but also the entire Fire Country.

Their power was passed down from generation to generation, up until now..

"Princess Sakura, wake up already!"

shouted a blonde long haired girl at the sleeping pinkette.

"Ino, shut up! give me five more minutes..." she murmured as she covered herself in the bedsheets.

"But, Princess!!!! today is the arrangement of your wedding!!!" she yelled and shook her.

"SAY WHAT?!" she snapped and remember today is that day.

The day that her father, the Hokage would arrange her to marry someone he picked for her.

She looked at the clock

"HOLY TOMATO, I'm late!!!!" she quickly got out of bed and went to the bathroom. When she got out she quickly ate her breakfast.

After that Ino, helped her wear her pink kimono.

"Are you okay, Princess?" she asked noticing her sad face.

"Ino, I told you not to call me that. You're my best friend.." she said as Ino was about to tie her hair in a bun.

"Okay, fine. Sorry Sa-ku-ra, so, what's with the face?"

She sighed. "I just can't believe father will hand-pick the one I'll marry."

"So?"

"Ino! Can't you understand?! My father expects me to marry some rich guy that I don't even know yet!!" Sakura yelled while putting her make-up on.

"Actually, no I don't.. I am NOT a princess, remember?"

"Yeah, but you ARE a girl, too... Besides, don't you want to find your 'Prince Charming', like the ones we read in Fairytales when we were young?"

"Well, when you put it that way. Of course, every girl wants to find one."

"Exactly!"

"But Sakura, you're doing this for our country. It's a bit different than those in books."

"I know. But, a girl can dream, right?"

She just nodded and soon escorted her to the palace's enormous living room where she will be introduced to her soon-to-be husband.

In the room, her father Kizashi was sitting on the couch, already waiting for her arrival; as his wife, Mebuki is there, too.

"Good morning Lord Kizashi and Lady Mebuki." Ino formally greeted then left the room.

"Hello father and mother." Sakura then went to sit a couch across of them.

"They'll be here soon." the Hokage informed.

After 5 mins of waiting..

"My Lord, Sir Hiashi, and his nephew, Prince Neji had arrived." said one of the guards.

"Let them in!" he ordered

"Good day your highness.." he greeted

Sakura turned around and saw the white-eyed prince with long hair approach her.

Oh, boy.. her Inner sighed.

"Good morning, you must be Princess Haruno, it is a pleasure meeting you." Neji said as he bowed his head in respect.

"The pleasure is mine." she replied

But, of course even if she is just forced to do this; she couldn't be rude, not in front of her parents.

"Sakura, this is Prince Neji, your husband to be." her father introduced.

But I don't want to marry him!!!! her Inner whined.

He then took a seat beside Sakura, while Hiashi and her father started to discuss about the upcoming wedding.

~Meanwhile~

"Juugo, did you get the scroll?" ask a raven-haired teenager to his teammate.

"Yeah." he said and handed him a scroll.

"Good." he replied and smirked "We'll make lots of money once we sold this to the market."

"But Sasuke, what if we get caught?" Suigetsu asked their leader.

"Hn. Us get caught? Then why did we put Karin on look-out in the first place?! Baka!" Sasuke answered

"Karin, any ANBU?" he turned to a red haired girl with glasses

"No. I can't sense any chakra of theirs.." she said

"Great. Now let's go." he ordered

Then they all went to the Sound Village's market and sold the scroll to a rich business man..

"So, this is what you do, huh? Quite illegal." the business man stated

"Shut up. Mind your own business." Sasuke growled.

"Well, as you can see, this is my business. I am an international dealer for forbidden scrolls. I buy them. I sell them. That's what I do. Now, how about we make a deal?"

he inquired.

"Get a life. Not interested. We're not for hire." Sasuke said

"Oh really? Not even if I pay you 10,000 Ryo to get a certain scroll?"

"Hmm.. Maybe. What's the catch?"

"I need it in two days. The scroll I'm talking about is the Element Scroll."

"The Element Scroll? It's a little too risky. That scroll is considered as ancient. Many ANBU officers will be guarding it. It contains the first jutsus our shinobi ancestors used; fire, water, air and earth."

"I'll double the money.."

"Deal."

As thier conversation ended, the young Uchiha walked to his teammates.

"Where next?" Suigetsu asked

"The Hidden Leaf Village.." he answered.
