Chapter Twenty-Five

"MEEEOOOWW!"

Yumi purred around her master's legs as Sakura bent down under the dinning table and picked her up.

They are now eating breakfast in a café in a small village near the outskirts of Konohagakure.

"Sasuke, I think she's hungry." she said and looked at the said man who sat across of her.

"Then give her fish."

"Sasuke! You jerk, Yumi can't eat fish all her life, you know! It's not good for her health and plus, she'll get fat!!!"

"So, what do you suggest on doing?"

"Um... buy her cat food, duh?"

"Hn."

After their conversation, as you can see, the five were suprisingly quiet all morning..

That was, until Suigetsu just had to break the silence,

"Hey Princess! I forgot to tell you something!!"

"What is it, Suigetsu?" she boredly replied as she petted Yumi.

With a huge grin, "Send me one of those fancy post cards when you get back to Konoha tomorrow! You know, I always wanted one of those, especially the ones with the cute little fish- OWW!!!"

He cried as he held his swelled cheek, courtesy of the red headed Karin.

"Shut up, Suigetsu!" hushed Juugo as Sasuke gave the water man a menacing glare.

Just then, the pinkette walked out, saying barely above a whisper, "Uh.. guys, I.. ah, need to go get some fresh air.."

"..Meow.."

Leaving Yumi behind, Sakura dashed out of the café. Her voice held sadness while her words were full of uneasiness.

It is true. Tomorrow will be the day everyone, even Karin, dreaded to come.. For tomorrow, Princess Sakura will be escorted back to Konoha in exchange of the ransom money.

Two days before her wedding..

But yet, Sakura seemed to forgot the day, which made everyone engulfed by an ear-breaking silence; not wanting her to worry.

So, when Suigetsu had requested a stupid post card and reminded her, well..

"..D-Damn it."

She sobbed as she was sitting under a cherry blossom tree, not far from the café. Hiding her head in her sitting position.

I forgot.. tomorrow. Tomorrow, I'll be dragged back to that stupid, stupid palace!

She thought. Then, it hit her.

"T-The wedding!.."

'Pft, anyway, we plan to keep you for two weeks.. two days before your wedding.'

"Kami.. no! I don't want to go back.."

Meanwhile..

"Idiot!" Sasuke yelled as he eyed the guilty Suigetsu. "I thought, I told you to shut that damn mouth of yours!!!"

"Sasuke-sama-"

"Now look what happened!! LOOK!"

"Sasuke-kun, please-!"

"Sakura walked out! And she's probably crying right now, because of you!!!"

He then grabbed Suigetsu by the neck and slammed him on the wall; causing the other customers to stare at them.
