Chapter Thirteen

The next morning...

After eating breakfast, all of them are getting ready to set foot again, until...

"Juugo, have you seen the Princess?"

"No."

"Karin, have you seen her?"

"Sasuke-kun, how could you! I'm not her babysitter.. And no."

She 'tried' to sound cute, but it only earned her a scowl from him.

Sasuke soon wondered around the inn, and checked everywhere for the pinkette; but no to avail...

Strange..

The young Uchiha thought.

Usually Sakura would chat with the innkeepers or walk around the area to keep herself occupied before leaving...

But ever since their little "misunderstanding" yesterday, she avoided him at all corners.

He soon spotted the hawk he sent to Konoha yesterday at their room's window.

Around it's leg, was a small paper and a package. He opened the piece of paper.. It read:

    You're in luck buddy, the Hokage agreed with the deal, instead of flipping the whole continent like a pancake just to get his precious daughter back..

     Oh, and better return this book you're asking me to lend you, or else my commanding officer would kill me!!! Dattebayo!

Btw, tell Sakura-chan I said 'hi'...

"Tsk. Dobe..." he murmured and quickly scanned through the pages of the said book.

Knock. Knock.

The door opened and a white-haired man came in,

"Heya boss! What are ya-"

"Suigetsu, have you seen Sakura?"

"Uhm.. yeah I did actually. She said she'd meet up with a guy named.. Gaara?"

"Where are they?"

"I think she said something about a sushi restaurant near the hospital.."

"Hn. Come with me."

"Huh? Where we going?"

"Fetching a Princess.. and sending a certain redhead to hell.." he whispered the last part to himself.

I knew that book would come in handy.

At the sushi restaurant..

"So Gaara, you can't tell my parents that I'm here, okay? I just want to live my life with adventure before I go back to the that stupid palace.."

( sigh ) "You have my word, Princess.. But are you sure that you'll be safe by the hands of that emo?"

"Yeah, I will.. I trust him. Like you, he was one of my childhood friends, well sorta since we just met once back then, but.. I know that there's some good in him."

"Okay then."

Least do they know, that upon seeing them 'together', a certain raven was already boiling inside..

Just by the look on Sasuke's face, you can clearly tell that Gaara would be in a very, VERY critical condition if this continues..

Poor Gaara..

"H-Hey Sasuke, are you alright? What are-"

Suigetsu paused when he saw the cover of the book he was reading awhile ago..

"101 Ways To Murder A Person"

"Uh oh..."

Sasuke then stood up and walked to them.

"Sakura!"

"Thank you very much for understanding me Gaara.."

"No problem Sakura. That's what friends are for anyway. Goodbye and take care."

They then both stood up and embraced each other,

"You too! Oh, and goodluck with Suki-chan.."

"Of cour-"

"Sakura!"
