Chapter Thirty

After two months..

Princess Sakura was now eighteen. The age where she would be soon crowned as the ruler of the whole Fire Country.

As time passed by, her Hokage father agreed to not force his beloved daughter in marrying someone she doesn't love.

Instead, they agreed to accept suitors from different parts of the world to meet her, and if ever, let her fall in love with the lucky man.

Princes, merchants, skilled medical-nins, sons of ANBUs, travelers, and even normal village men! Everyone wanted to make the pinkette fall in love with them...

But, even though how many handsome, strong, brave, wealthy and well-built men came to her every second or so, she declined them all.

Leaving her parents with doubt that their daughter will ever learn to love.

One fine morning,

"Sakura! Rise and shine sleepy head!!!" Ino yelled while shaking the sleeping beauty.

And yes, after the day by day argument on calling her 'Sakura' and not 'Princess', Ino eventually got used to it.

"...Argh.. Ino, ten more minutes.." she mumbled as she pulled up the covers over her head.

Ino frowned at her bestfriend's laziness.

"Come on, Aurora! Your father needs to see you!"

"...What's it for, anyway? It's freakin' six in the morning..."

"He said that one of your suitors, are waiting for you in the living room."

"Pft! You have got to be kidding me.. Suitor, AGAIN?!" Sakura shouted, now pissed off.

"Yup."

"God damn it!!! Don't they know how to just give up already!? Are they really that determined to make me fall for them??"

"Unfortunately, yes. Yes, they are. Sakura, seriously, you really need to pick a man to marry."

"No."

"Sakura, think about it! Your parents already agreed to let you pick the man you like, fall in love with him, and then get married!"

"Ino, no. I don't want to!"

"But-!"

"What would you feel if you were the one who has to look pretty and go to the living room area to introduce yourself to a dozen suitors that comes with a bouquet of roses every minute or so?!"

"Okay. You do have a point there."

( sigh ) "And plus, Ino, I don't think they court me because they have feelings for me.. I think that they just want to become my husband to have power in the Fire Country. They're all fake."

"Maybe, your right. But even so, don't you think that it's time for you to be happy?"

"I am happy. I have mother, father, you.. What more can I ask for?"

"Don't play dumb. You know what I mean."

"....."

"Please.. Sakura, just try to. Do you want to grow old and die single?"

"...No."

"Then go out there, and show them what you've got! ...Oh! And I heard that its another prince.."

"Fine." Sakura went to her drawer and grabbed a list, writing something:

Number of Suitors this Month~

Princes: 10 + 1

Merchants: 6

Sons of ANBUs: 13

Villagers: 25

Sons of Lords: 8

Travelers: 3

Clan Prodigies: 12

Ninjas: 19

Medics: 5

Completely unbelievable as it may seem, but what can I say? She is a princess after all..

Knock! Knock!

"Ino, can you please open the door?" Sakura asked while heading to the bathroom.

"Hai."

When Ino opened the door.

"KYAAA!!!!! Shika-kun!!!" Ino squealed while hugging her boyfriend.

"Ack! Troublesome woman!!"

"Oh, sorry!"

"Yeah, yeah.. Hey, where's Princess Sakura?"

"She's in the bathroom. What do need anyway? Hah! I bet you missed me!"

"Her father told me to tell her that if she's not coming out, she's in a lot of trouble.." he boredly answer answered.

For those who don't know yet, he and Ino have been dating for about three weeks now.

"Just wait a minute will ya?!" Sakura answered behind the door.

( sigh ) "How troublesome..."

After Sakura was fully dressed, she immediately head straight to the living room, where Kizashi and Mebuki were patiently waiting for her.

She scanned the room for a sophisticated prince, but found no in particular.

"Good morning father, mother. "

"You are ten minutes late, my dear." her father reminded.

"Yes father, it won't happen again."

Damn suitor just has to come early.. she thought.

"Where is he anyway?" she asked after taking a seat across of them.

"He just went to the restroom." her mother answered.

"Okay."

"Sakura," the Hokage started, "I heard that he had traveled a great distance just to see you."

"Like the Raikage's son and the Kazekage's brother?"

"My love, I know that this is hard for you.. But please, you have got to move on." Mebuki comforted her daughter.

"Your mother's right, young lady. And plus, this suitor of yours is an unbelievably wealthy man, and remarkably good-looking. He is also a well-respected shinobi in their land."

Oh brother..

Just then did the door creeked open.

"Ah! There he is.."

When Sakura turned her head and scowled with an uninterested face, the first thing she saw was truly unexpected..

Daisies.

A beautiful bundle of fresh white dasies being carried by someone.

..C-Can it be?...

She slowly averted her eyes to the man now standing in front of her.

Her heart felt like it would beat out of her chest at the sight.

"Hn. Good morning Princess."

".. S-Sasuke.."
