CHAPTER 8: Practice turned upside down
I was still on my position when I saw Ryan sitting calmly on the stair seats, concentrating on his board. God, what bad have I done in my previous lives that you're torturing me with such situations? I'm losing faith on you Jesus!
"Sweetie, is there any problem?" Miss Ardore's voice called from behind.
I was about to take my eyes away from Ryan when his eyes went to me, causing me to turn to Miss Ardore.
"No ma'am. I was just leaving." I informed, giving a last glance to the devil.
"Sorry but I forgot to ask your name." she smiled, taking a step closer to me.
"Jade Newly." I spoke when an arm gripped on my shoulder, making me jump a little. I turned around and saw Dillan, all covered with sweat but a cute smile plastered on his face.
"What happened?" I asked him, looking at him.
"We have to go somewhere. Let's go." he told happily, grabbing my arm.
"Chill puppy. We'll go wherever you want to." I chuckled at my impatient friend and turned to Miss Ardore,"I'll leave now ma'am. Thanks for your help."
"No problem dear. Go have fun with your boyfriend for now." she smiled and went to her table.
"Oh no, he's not my-"
Dillan dragged me outside with him and began walking to God knows where.
"You can clarify things later Jojo. Because right now, we have much important things to do." he spoke while walking toward his desired destination.
"But where to? And stop manhandling me weirdo." I snapped, trying to get away from his strong grip.
He must have realized that he was practically dragging me in the corridor so because his grip loosen on my arm and helped me to stand straight.
"Thank you very much for understanding but now may I know where we're going?" I asked while we were in the middle of a random corridor.
Dillan grinned and announced,"I have my first practise tomorrow."
Oh, so that's why he was dragging me! What a stupid creature? God help him.
"Just that?" I asked with disbelief.
"What do you mean by 'Just that'? It's football and you know it's important for me."
I sighed out and patted his shoulder,"Yeah, I know. Sorry to say that. I know it's very important to you." Then turning to him with the biggest smile I could come up with, I spoke, “And I'll be the one supporting the most."
He chuckled at me. Wrapping an arm around my shoulder, he began to walk and then said,"I knew bringing you is a good idea."
"Why?" I asked cheerfully.
"So that I can have my very own cheerleader." he joked, walking toward the football ground.
