CHAPTER 2 :  Moving in

It's hard to tell your mind to stop loving someone when your heart still does. - Anonymous

"Hey dad, when is Sage coming home?" I asked dad while running down the stairs happily.

"In an hour or so. Excited to see your sister again Jady?" dad teased.

"Psst, no way. I would I be excited to see my freak?" I said, leaning to the counter, while dad was sitting on the other side.

He kept staring at me for a long time and I knew why.

"Okay okay, I miss her and I am excited to meet her." I announced, throwing my hands in the air dramatically.

A smile crept on dad's face and he spoke,"I know you two can't live a day without each other, though you scream and fight all the time but it's a form of your love toward each other."

I sensed his voice shaking and that's when I knew he was the verge to cry. God, my drama queen of a father.

"Come on dad, there's nothing to cry about." I commented, tapping my fingers on the counter.

"How can I stop myself from crying, seeing you two being so adorable? You two are my little princesses." I really wanted to 'aww' at his words but he has done it a lots of time and let's face it, my dad is like a woman, tears are always ready to flow like a river from his eye ducts. It's like he have a superpower of crying anytime, anywhere. Blah, that is just a sucky power.

"Come here kid." I said like he was my kid, not the other way around and went over him to give him a bear hug.

He begin to sob on my shoulder and it caused me to chuckle at my poor father. Emotions overloaded on him all of a sudden.

"Hey, I need a hug too." a familiar voice called from the front door.

Dad and I pulled away and saw our third member of the family who has been absent from a month.

"Sagy." I shouted with happiness and ran to her. I jumped on her, causing both of us to fall on the ground.

"Ouch, what a way to welcome me Bozohead." Sage spoke, a hint of pain in her voice. Of course, I jumped on her and we rolled on the floor, it's obvious to hurt, especially when she was under me and I was crushing her with my weight.

"Thank you. It took me a week to find this way of welcoming." I said sarcastically, which sounded much like meant the sentence I just spoke. But don't blame me. I just missed my freak too much.

"You're such a bozohead." she teased.
