CHAPTER 10 : The annoying treatment

The doorbell rang and I rushed to open it, knowing that it would be Kacie and May.

“Hey guys, come on in,” I greeted the two girls standing in front of me. Kacie was dressed up in her normal clothes but May, it seemed like she came out of a children’s bedtime storybook. With a baby pink jumper and hair braided in French style, she looked like those princesses who just woke up from her long night sleep and still manage to look perfect.

“Um, nice costume May,” I commented hesitatingly, getting to a side to give them room to get in.

“I told her to dress up normally. But no, she won’t listen to me,” Kacie yelled, mostly at May who was grinning widely. To be honest, she looked freaking adorable.

“You look nice though,” I spoke, smiling. May’s eyes sparkled. Grabbing both my hands, she became to jump up and down and shouted, “Don’t I? Don’t I? Don’t I?”

“Yes, you do. Yes, you do, Yes, you do.” I mocked her and jumped along. She ran inside happily, leaving me with two red hands.

“Ow, that girl’s strong.” I frowned, looking at my hands and then toward Kacie.

“Tell me about it,” she snorted. “Once, she got angry and punched Garry’s nose. I thought she’ll too get in a domestic violence case but Garry didn't tell anyone.”

“That’s horrible.”

“And when the coach scolded Garry for being so responsible and banned him from playing for a game, she went to his house and kicked the life out of him.” she sighed, shaking her head.

I was shocked to hear that. That tiny girl kicked a college’s football coach? How is that even possible?

My eyes were widened and my jaw was opened like it would touch the ground.

Kacie looked at me with seriousness written all over her face but then began to laugh hysterically.

“Why are you laughing?” I shrieked.

“Okay, I may have made that last one up but she punching Garry is a true story. Believe me, May can get very aggressive.” she said in between her laughter.

“That wasn't funny. I even began to picture May beating the coach’s blood covered body.” I announced.

She laughed again and went inside my room as well.

Stupid girls!

“Jojo, where are you? I need something to eat so I’m taking your food. Bye.” Dillan’s voice called when we were sitting inside my room enjoying our movie.

No way, I was already running out of food as the guy ate all of it and he wanted more? No freaking way. And there was another thing that stopped me from buying food. I didn't want to ask dad to spend me money all the time, I was a grown up girl, I had to manage these stuff by myself. I knew dad would never hesitate to give me money but still, it was against my self-esteem.

I had to find a decent job.

“No, you’re not.” I screamed and rushed outside of my room, followed by Kacie. May was too busy in watching Enchanted that she didn't even notice Dillan’s voice or presence in the house.
