This is a very short chapter! Sorry! :(( But I'll try to make the next one more longer!
CHAPTER 20: Ways to ruin a moment
The week passed by like a blur. The classes were the same, taking notes, listening to the lectures and grasping everything, if that was possible. Everything was the same, except Ryan. He was a lot different than he was a few days ago, he seemed much happier. Dillan said it must be some plan but I don’t believe him. What could be a plan behind being happy? Can’t someone be happy for no reason?
Dillan had always disliked Ryan and the reason being that he had broken my heart. Dillan had always been a very protective friend as he had seen me the time I was very devastated because of everything that took place with Ryan. But he still hated Ryan, even he was acting all good with everyone and was opening up again.
My conversations with Ryan were very awkward as for the whole time; I would think what could happen, what could be the reason behind his sudden mood and behaviour change. I was terrified with the fact that he knew everything about Ash’s idea. Ryan may have a messed up head but it was sure clever and evil, no one knew what he would do.
Anyways, the college was decorated with royal blue and white ribbons as the first match for the varsity football league was going to start and the main centre this year. The atmosphere held a lively feel to it as everyone was very excited to support their team and were pretty confident we would win.
Let’s just hope!
“So, who are you supporting for the league?” Jenny, one of our friends asked while we sat together after our Accountancy period. It was again the day for the club meeting so we had to go for that as well but before that, we decided to have a little time to talk.
I looked at her with confusion and spoke, “What do you mean? We all are going to support our college’s team, what is there to ask?”
Jenny shook her head and stated, “Not always, many students support the teams of other colleges.”
“Why?” Kacie asked.
“Don’t know, maybe because of the good looking players.” Jenny told us.
“Wow, that’s low.” I commented with disgust. That really was shallow to support some team because they were more good looking than us.“But our team’s the hottest. I mean, have you seen the guys shirtless?” May exclaimed and then placed both her delicate palm on her chest and then began, “It will the death of me one day.”
Kacie rolled her eyes at May’s behaviour and looked in my direction. May was acting a little positive toward again but there was something that was disturbing her, maybe something related to me but I what I knew was that she didn’t like something about me. And I was fine by that, I wasn’t going to impress her so whatever she thought about me, let it be. I was happy with myself and that was what mattered the most.Urgg, a single phone call with dad could make you very dramatic!
“Shut up May, you switched sides during the school match because the team captain of the opponent looked in your direction.” Jenny snorted. She knew many things about Mya as they were in the same school before but that doesn’t mean they liked each other, they were quite distant from each other and had totally opposite views about everything.
“So? He totally had hots for me.” May spoke, which resulted in Kacie passing another judging look in my direction which was for May.
“Jealous baby.” May hissed at Jenny and walk away when she saw Garry coming toward our direction.“God, she is becoming irritating day after day.” Kacie commented.
“I’m so lucky that I’m not her boyfriend.” I spoke absent mindedly, looking in May’s direction who was busy with her boyfriend.
“Okay, we must leave for the activity now.” Jen suggested. After exchanging our goodbyes, we left for our respected clubs.
