~~It was a surprisingly warm autumn day...the day I first met him~~
Chapter 1
I had a few days before I needed to report to my new job as a publicist. This was the stepping stone for a major position opening at the company I trained with, as one of the head publicists for the multitude famous musicians we work with. This was my moment to get as much experience and prove I can do the work needed for that position. Although I was surprised to find myself on loan to a company in South Korea working alongside their head publicist for one of their bigger groups. I was surprised to even be placed in South Korea, considering I know nothing of their celebrities, or much about what is considered popular music wise. It was because of this is why I had to spend much of my free time and needing to put off unpacking till last minute to research the group I am working with. Honestly, there were many more people in this group than I am used to, that even now while reading their profiles, was starting to give me a headache in-between my eyes. Giving up, I threw on my fleece jacket and stormed out of my apartment, walking with no destination in mind besides getting away from my stress and the headache of my new life/
While walking, I happened upon a seemingly small park with tall trees full of reds, golds, and greens—the colors of fall. My body was starting to ache and figured it was a good point to stop. Finding a bench under a large maple full of gold and green leaves, I close my eyes to enjoy the moment of peace and quiet, breathing deeply the smell of maple and cinnamon in the air.
"I still can't believe it, everything felt like a dream..." a soft deep voice crept into my ears brought over by the soft wind.
Where is that coming from? It sounds familiar somehow....
"Hello?" I call out, but received only silence.
"Butterfly, like a butterfly..." the soft singing continues to float to me without reply.
I start forward to the direction the voice seemed to be coming from. As I walked, I came along a hidden path of what I assumed before was a closed off space area behind a large bush. Am I really going to walk down a mysterious trail to find some strange voice? Yes, yes I am. My inability to keep to my own business has me moving forward past the bush and down the dirt trotted path towards some unknown. I follow the sound of singing till I arrive to a small clearing. I am amazed by such a mystery spot that I take a moment to look around and experience what is in front of me.
Finally noticing that the voice has stopped, I look to the boy in-front of me, staring in shock. His eyes are a deep brown, framed by dark lashes, his hair color of a mahogany brown doesn't match the black color of his eyebrows. Something about the depth of his eyes made my something in my chest flutter, I can't help but stare at him as I become absorbed into the brown orbs staring right back at me.
Eventually the silence becomes too much and I look away while clearing my throat, trying to moisten my dry mouth to speak.
"ummm h-hello...I apologize for intruding......your voice was just so nice to listen to..."
"U-uh hello? Uh, you—need um help?" came the reply in broken English, oh crap! I realized that I was speaking in English when I should be using Korean. Although the deep baritone of his voice did not go completely unnoticed as my heart seemed to leap slightly.
"Oh! I am so sorry, I said that I apologize for intruding and that your voice was just so nice to listen to" I smile at him, hoping to dispel the awkwardness.
"Oh, thank you! Although I thought nobody knew of this secret base of mine" he jokes and wagging his eyebrows which causes me to let out a smile, dispelling the awkwardness that once surrounded us.
"Hahaha yes, I just happened upon here while checking out the city" I laugh softly.
"Oh, by the way, my name is Roselynn Parker, it's nice to meet you" I bow in hello.
"R-rose-l-lynn Roselynn, very pretty, are you a foreigner?" he trips over my name a bit, but seems to get a handle of it.
"Oh yes, I am. I am here for work as a publicist"
"Wow! That's so fascinating!" He seems genuinely happy for me.
"Thank you, uh? I'm sorry?" I was going to ask what he does but I do not know his name.
"Oh! Hahaha my name is Kim Taehyung, although most call me V" He introduces himself, his eyes connecting with mine and gives me the cutest square shaped smile.
"Oh do you want to sit down?" he waves to the spot next to him, and without thinking I sit down next to him.
