Chapter 16

It's hot

I awoke to feeling far too warm. Wiggling around, I try to move away from the warmth and into the cooler parts of my sheet. Instead of getting away, the warmth wrapped itself tighter around me. Groaning in annoyance, I pop open an eye to see what is exactly trying to stop me from moving away. I see a familiar light tanned arm wrapped around my waist, trapping my arms underneath the limb. Wiggling around once again, I am able to roll over and see that the arm belongs to a mop of brown hair that is sleeping peacefully.

I can't help but reach out and push some of his hair away from his face. He face twitches slightly and I let out a small smile. Although I cannot help but feel a slight sadness, as our decision last night, has changed things dramatically. I don't regret what we did, but it was going to change how we interacted in front of others. If we want to have anything of a relationship, we would need to hide it from everyone. I didn't want to ruin his career or mine for that matter.

I didn't want to think anymore and ruin this perfect wake-up, instead, I snuggle into his chest and enjoy the warmth of our situation. I try to fall back asleep but the arms around me tighten once again. Opening my eyes, I see that I am on my back and Taehyung is hovering over me with a wide smile.

"Good morning Rose" he gives me a big smile and I can't help but giggle at his silliness

"Good Morning Tae" I grin back up to him and wrap my arms around his neck.

"Oh yes, a very good morning it is" he leans down to kiss me and our morning was very good indeed.

Gasping for air, I lean into my pillows as Tae falls down next to me in a slump breathing heavily as well. Wiping some sweat off my forehead, I look over at him and push his hands away as he tries to grab ahold of me again.

"No Tae, we need to get up at some point and eat" I say in exasperation.

"Nooooo, I don't want to!" he jumps on me and wraps me in a hug. He tries to start kissing my neck, when I move away and rolls off the bed, taking the blanket with me.

Standing next to the bed, all that is covering Tae is my bedsheet. Raising an eyebrow, I wait for him to get up.

"Come on Rose, you don't want to stay for more of this" he wiggles his eyebrows and indicates the rest of himself. It would have been tempting if not for the horrific growl that comes from his stomach that has me laughing instead and throwing his sweatshirt at him.

"Come on, we can order from a place and watch movies while we eat" I decide to shower first before dressing, so I grab my clothes and as I am about to go through the bathroom door and turn to see that Tae is still lounging on the bed with a big pout watching me. Smirking I drop the blanket to the ground and watch as his eyes widen.

"Well I'm going to go shower, if only someone was there to help wash my back..." I turn and close the door quickly and start the shower, hopping in I can hear the door crash open and then the shower door fly open.

There is Tae standing there breathing heavily, "Let me help with that..."

One hour later

"My hands are pretty much prunes now" I whine as I pull out the menu for one of the nearby restaurants.

"That's what you get for teasing me earlier, now hurry up and come over here. I'm lonely!" Tae whines at me from his spot on the couch where he is holding my little puppy. I laugh because the Vs are getting to know one another. I can see kookie hiding at the back of the couch from Tae, waiting for the opportunity to pounce on him. Such a mischievous kitty.

"okay, okay, okay, I'm coming. Do you want fried chicken?" I ask as I plop down next to him. He throws his arm around me and pulls me into his lap as he leans back into the couch, so I am laying underneath his chin on top of him.

He pulls the menu from my hands and whips through the pages. "yeah this looks good, let's get this" he points to a part of the menu and I nod my head in agreement. Grabbing my phone, I call in our order. As soon as I was done, I lean over to grab the remote for my smart TV.

"What should we watch Tae?" lean my head back and look up at him smiling. He looks at the TV for a moment and points to one title, "Let's watch the Good Doctor!" Nodding, I put it on and snuggle into his chest and get comfortable. A half hour later, our food came, and we were able to eat and relax. I was so comfy hanging with Tae, that at some point during our kdrama marathon that I feel asleep.

My pillow was vibrating a soft and low hum that had a smile pulling at my lips. Stretching my body, I latch onto Tae's body and pop open my eyes. Looking up, I see that he is humming along with kdrama's music playing on the scene where the main character and his love interest finally get together. Leaning up over him, I peck Tae on the lips and work to get up off the couch.

After finishing my business, I exit to find Tae sitting on the couch normally with my phone in his hands. I see him taking selfies on it and I laugh as I go to sit next to him.

"what on earth are you doing?" I go to grab my phone from his hands and scroll through to see a bunch of photos of himself.

"you needed some photos of your boyfriend on your phone" he laughs out and then pulls his phone out. "now I need some photos of my girlfriend on mine" He starts to take a bunch of photos of me and I try to grab his phone to stop his onslaught of photos being taken of me.

"Tae, no stop, I don't look nice right now!" I giggle as I finally grab his phone, but he holds tight onto it. He wraps an arm around me and pushes our face together and takes a photo of us together. He pulls the phone up to my face to show me our picture together.

"See how pretty my girlfriend is? She is the prettiest without any makeup on" my heart melts at his words and I can't help but land a giant kiss on him. Although he tries to deepen our kiss, I know we need talk about what is going to happen next before he distracts me.

"Tae, we need to talk, about us"

He sighs and pulls away, "yeah, we do" pulling back, he holds my hands in his.
