can you hear it?
that thrumming?
coming from a distance
closer, closer
and then arriving
echoing in between the walls we've surrounded ourselves inthat is what you do to me
this is the outcome
its rushingrushingrushing through my veins
fluttering in my stomach
heating in my headthat is my heartbeat
it drums through our town
between buildings and under seas
it spreads through the earth
it beats to our atmosphereand you my love
lead it to far away places
beating away on your drum
made of syrupy eyes
and warm hands
and a voice like drugspeed away lovely drummer boy
and take with you my heart
beating, faster
harder
stronger
for with every touch you send me
a bit of me breaks apart
