Sparrows Song

Corner store

theres a store by my house
a walgreens actually
its not very big
it just has some stuff that you would need

in the store
by the section of toys
there is a cuddle pet
its too much for me
but i would like one

theres an empty place in my chest
maybe with that
it could be filled

its soft and plush
beanie and snug
can i have it?
i promise Ill behave
theres a hedgehog
and a kitty cat
and even a puppy!

in the end
i did not get the toy
so still i sit
making poetry at one in the morning
