there is a pair
a couple
a two
one with eyes as clear as the sky
and the other as dark as the earth
they ruled the world
with clear minds and sharp tongues

the land was green
lush with life and birth
sadness rarely fell on this land of joy
everyday they dance
short blonde hair shimmering in the light
as long brown tresses grazes grass by bare feet

who could deny?
the two ruled in perfect harmony
their governing reasonable and strong
their hearts beating strong, steadfast
