It's been a month. News reports show significant change in the environment but hasn't confirmed any effect on humans. Rob thought to himself as he looked around. "We should get moving before the sun sets. It isn't safe out here in the night. Didn't you see the news? Everything's against us." he spoke softly not to attract too much attention. They moved through the street making sure they are not followed. It's getting darker by the minute and rob checks his map for a safe place to spend the night. The device keeps beeping and showing a red dot a mile north but due to the current situation it seems difficult for him to make it alive even for a mile. He reassures himself that he will protect everyone but deep down he knows they won't survive much longer without any help. They come across an abandoned building and decides to spend the night here before things go out of hand.

Birds flapping their wings in the pitch silent valley seems more terrifying when your heart is already beating as fast as it could. Rob couldn't sleep and thus decided to stay up for the first watch. Night seems to get worse with the cold breeze. He almost nodded off and was falling into a deep sleep. His sleep got interrupted with more flapping of wings and a sudden gunshot blast right around the valley. Everybody woke up, scared at the thought of approaching death . Rob stood up, looked outside through the window. He couldn't see anything in the dark. How am I supposed to help everyone when I myself can't stop my legs from shaking, he thought and tried to calm himself by checking for any movement.

It was too late, before he could even respond the door burst open, a group of soldiers with fully automatic rifles and heavy armour were swarming inside the building. He could hear gunshots all around him. Alice and John were guarding the door, Hopes of them making it alive was slim. It was too late for everyone. He could hear footsteps nearby, gunshots numbed his senses. His thoughts got mixed up with all the blood around him. Anyone who tried to respond were shot on spot. "I've never seen this much blood in my life, is this really happening?" Rob thought to himself as he tried to regain his senses. Rob screamed " Guys, we can't hold on anymore, ru-" a bullet went through his skull and a few more rounds all over his body. He fell to the ground covered with blood.
