Four years ago, one of the smartest minds on the planet came up with a new energy source which would make the rocket fuel look like a joke. Experiment done on subatomic levels of helium created a stable yet the most powerful energy source. Small scale reactions were able to power an entire country for days and the experiment conducted were all held in space just to be safe. Results were remarkable and they planned to implement it on a larger scale but a small difference, this time on Earth. Initial planning went better compared to the actual experiment. The experiment was successful but with one drawback. Just like any other invention, this came with side effects. Earth simulation where they experimented the initial trials was not exactly the mother nature. When it came to real life experiment on earth, the radio waves emitted from the reaction made ‘mother nature gone crazy’ quoted by BBC news channel. Degradation of plant life, increase in acidity of drinking water, water bodies floating with dead beings and change in climatic conditions. Earth was getting sick and scientists diagnosed new issues on a daily basis. Last report showed yet another problem. They wouldn't be able to stop using the new energy source because that's the only energy source which survived. Petroleum had gone through atomic structural damage and was confusing when in contact with air or water. Natural resources like coal , metals like Iron, all went through deformities or degradation. Solar was useless because solar panels couldn't be made anymore with corrosion of Silicon and water based energy sources was useless because of increase in acidity and that led to corrosion of any metal after a certain period underwater. Therefore only thing available was the current energy source and a remedy has to be found before life goes extinct.

Huge funds were provided for scientists who worked on survival of human beings. Few corporate leaders who inherited the arm supply around the world pooled together. Their financial status and power over major countries were already immense and when they pooled together and bought 80% shares of the new energy source, it just got doubled. They made sure about the secrecy to attract less attention and more power. Nuclear weapons and nuclear power was already under their control, the degradation of elements caused degradation of weapons but nuclear weapons were still an option.

That's when news about HBC spread. The organization took this as a chance to impose more power rather than an attempt for survival.

Spying and infiltration of HBC was easy compared to massive terrorist acts around the world. They had inside men who were high ranking officials in HBC and they knew all about Rob's secret experiments. Rob injected the serum to his veins after the success with his own flesh. The officials who knew about this even before Rob confessed about his attempt of human trial. He showed his own vital signs and body reactions and everyone was convinced about the merits. CEO of HBC had only one goal, and that was to make himself rich. But to do that, he needed confirmation that it wouldn't fail, he wasn't quite confident as Rob. Therefore he made Rob test on two more people. Neither Rob nor the two subjects had any idea about what was about to happen. Reaction started smooth but one of them suffered brain trauma, reducing brain activities and partial paralysis for about a month and the other was perfectly fine for two weeks and then started having changes. He developed incredible healing abilities and when he was having a nervous breakdown, two bone line structures protruded from his spine, flesh started appearing on it, turning it into two giant tentacles. Within an instant, the doctors near him had their chest ripped open. His behavior made the first subject act like an animal screaming and running round like a mad dog. Guards put both the subjects under high sedation and were transported to the secret facility underground. The CEO did not seem to care when he was paid off by the officials and gave him a piece of their action. Rob was traumatized and wanted to stop the project but before he could do anything, he was abducted and injected with some kind of drug that induced memory loss. The amount was so high that he was out cold for a week and woke up with a blank head. They avoided killing him to reduce suspicions and since he had a great mind which would come in handy with the upcoming events.

They never predicted he would access the secret base which led to Rob confessing worldwide about the effects of serum on humans. He posted a video which went viral within minutes. People understood one important thing. In two days, three things can happen. One, they might die because of serum or because of the energy source. Two, they might survive from energy source but change into something like an animal. Three, they might turn into super humans with weird powers. Nobody was sure what would happen but fate was unavoidable and they had two days to countdown.
