The masked female from earlier approaches the stranger and I, gun trained on him.

"Let's go."

The stranger helps me to my feet, keeping the hoodie covering as much as possible. A contraction hits. It's worse than all the other ones. I squeeze his arm against the barely tolerable pain.

The woman, Kolli, puts the barrel of her gun against my lower back.

"Keep moving or I shoot."

I do my best, waddling down the hall. When she is satisfied with our location, she blasts the lock off the door, letting us in. The stranger motions for me to lay down behind the desk. Kolli stands guard, her eyes following our every step.

"Hey, keep your eyes on me."

I look back to the strange man kneeling between my open legs.

"I'm Jason. What's your name?"

"Don't you think it's a little too late for introductions?"

"Thought I would distract you as I checked again."

Wow. It worked. I didn't even feel him check.

"I need you to start pushing."

"Melody."

He gives me a confused look.

"My name is Melody."

Jason nods.

"Okay, Melody. I need you to start pushing for me."

Oh god. This is really going to happen. A stranger is going to deliver the Raymond's twins on the filthy floor of a bank.
