Kolli knocks three times and I pull back the piece of wood. She exits the room, closing the door behind her and hiding the scene.
A huge smile is on her face.
"It's done! He can't control me anymore!"
"That's great!"
She throws her arms around me, thrilled by this news. I stiffen at her touch, a little shocked. When she realizes what she is doing, she pulls back a hair, catching my eye. Something is hidden in those gorgeous eyes.
"Let's go back to my place."
She agrees without hesitation. As we climb into the car, the entire atmosphere changes as if live with electricity.
