The Spreaders are everywhere around me and Bryanna. I'm worried I won't be able to protect her. There's just too many for us to fight. "Bryanna go run out of the heard! I'll lure them away and follow you!" I yell over to her. "No! I can't do that to you!" She yells back. I know she's worried about us never finding each other again, I really like her, but I want her to be safe. "I'll be right behind you!" I lie to her. I don't know if I'll even get out of here. I wish I could promise her I'll be fine. She runs out of the heard and smiles at me one last time. Then like that, she's gone. I eventually can't hold them back anymore. I run out of the forest and try to follow where she once went to flee. I stumble across the roughs of downtown Toronto, trying to keep my eyes open for Spreaders, and her. I continue to run through the abandoned streets and search every alley. I stumble across quite a few Spreaders in each alley, but no Bryanna. Where did she go? Is she okay? Man, I hope so. My heart continues to race to the thought of her being dead, and I start to get a little sweaty due to the fact that I'm running as fast as I can to find her. I then see a trail of dripped blood amongst the paved road. It's still pretty fresh looking. I follow the trail to then find a dumpster with a Spreader in it. It looks like, that Emad kid. I didn't really know him, but he hurt Bryanna. He was holding a knife covered in blood, and my first thought and worry was focused on one reason. Bryanna!
I closed the dumpster and scan my surroundings even more. I know she's close, I can feel it. I see a flash of a body in the corner of my eye as I ran past one alley. It takes me a moment to fully process what it was. I run back towards where I saw the body and I found her. Bryanna, laying there on the ground bleeding out of her neck. Someone slit her throat. Emad. I check her pulse to see if she's even still alive. I feel a very faint beat, but she's still alive. I need to stop the bleeding. Now! I frantically look for something that'll work. An idea popped into my head. I removed my white hoodie and tied it around her neck. The blood quickly absorbed into the white cotton leaving less and less time to save her. I then grab her black sweater from her backpack, and place it on top. Don't die. Don't die. Don't die. My grey t-shirt was now stained with blood too, but that didn't matter. I couldn't loose her. She doesn't know this, but I really really like her. Well, to be honest, I love her. She knows that I like her, but I need her to survive so I can tell Bryanna myself. The thought of her dying must've gotten to my head because I suddenly heard familiar voices approaching the dead end. Ryan, Shawn, Caroline, Halley, Eirelyn, and Dylan. No. It can't be. "Help!!" I yell. "Over here!" I yell even louder. "Don't die on me Bryanna." I tell her.
