What they don't realize, is that I'm Halley's brother.

While we continue to sleep by the fire, I can't take it anymore. I need to tell somebody that I'm related to Halley. I can't keep it from her anymore. I stand up and walk over to Halley  I tap her shoulder, and she rolls over to face me. "Er-what do you want?" She mumbles. "Look, I need to talk to you about something." She stands up and I lead the way into the forest. I stop at a big rock and sit down. "There's something really important that I think you should know." I start. Before I can speak Halley interrupts me. "I know you like her. But can this wait?" She asks. "Who?" I ask her. "Bryanna, silly. I'm not blind." I start to tense up. Maybe I do actually like her. It doesn't matter though, she'd never like me back. I sigh and look around. "That's not what I'm trying to say. It's about you and your family." I try to lead on. She looks more intrigued in the conversation and looks at my face. "W-what about them?" I take a deep breath and let it out. "You know how you're the "only child"?" She nods her head. "Well, when she gave birth to you, she also gave birth to me. We're twins." I was going to continue but Halley bursted into laughter. "Haha. You've gotta be kidding me! That's the funniest thing I've heard all day!" She yells over her hysterical laughing. "It's true. You're mom at the time couldn't take care of the both of us, so she gave me to a friend. She took care of you and my adopted mom took care of me." I say. "How do I believe you?" Halley asks questioning my statement. "Because, her friends name is Bethany, and she and your mom were best friends since grade 6. She has brown hair and blue eyes." Halley looks shocked by what I had just told her. "So, that means?....." I nod my head. "You're my sister." I finish. "And you're my brother." She awkwardly stands there and tucks a strand of hair behind her ear. "Sorry. It's just, weird." I nod my head in agreement and hear the snap of a twig from in the bushes. "Who's there?" I yell. I look closer to see a blond teen walking our way. "Bryanna? What are you doing here?" She doesn't answer Halley's question and walks right up to us. "You are her sister?!" She asks clueless. We both nod our heads. "That's fantastic!" She excitingly says. I smile. I don't really know why, except for the fact that Bryanna is happy, which I can't help but be happy too. Man, Halley's right, I really do like Bryanna. "Halley starts to walk back towards the "camp" but I stop her. "Don't worry, if you like her, I don't mind you being with her. She deserves a great guy, and I know that you are one." She politely states. "Thank you." I continue to smile for the rest of my walk back to the fire pit. Wow, I really have a sister.
