It's been a day and nobody has seen or heard from Bryanna, Max, Shawn, Caroline, Ryan, Halley, Eirelyn, or Dylan. I really hope they're all fine. I couldn't imagine everything without any of them. I walk outside and look around. I take in the cool, crisp, late autumn air, and walk towards the pond at the side of the house. There used to be fish and frogs in there, with beautiful water lilies. But, due to everything and "everyone" they all died. We've had to use the fish for food, the frogs left, and the lilies just crumpled up and died. "Hey Olivia! Have you seen Kennedi?" Simon comes up behind me and asks. I shake my head no. "Why?" I ask him back. "She wasn't acting like herself....." I understand what he's saying. She seemed, off when we found her. I thought it was just shock, but I think she's hiding something from us. "Let's go." I say. We run up and down the downtown side streets looking in every alley. Thankfully we brought our weapons with us, because we stumbled across several Spreaders. "Kennedi!" We both yell. "Ken!" I yell again. No sign of her. "Wait. Shh. Do you hear that?" Simon whispers to me. We walk closer to a dumpster and see out in the middle of the alley Kennedi and....Emad? They're arguing, like, fighting over something. "Look! I'm not going to do this anymore! I can't believe you actually did that!!!" She yells at him. His face turns even more mad and then before. "Listen to me! You're the one that wanted to be apart of this plan! So you need to follow through! If not, so god help me I will kill you and everyone you care about!" Emad spits at Kennedi. What plan are they talking about? It must be something bad if he's threatening her. She took a deep breath and spoke once again. "Emad. You went too far with this. Bryanna is probably dead because of you, and now you're out to get Max? Why?!" She asks filled with fury. "Max is all Bryanna has left.... had left.... and I want him to suffer too." What?! "Okay. What did Bryanna even do to make you so mad??! Huh?" She yells at him.
Crap! My arm slipped and banged on the bin.
Bang
They both look over, finally realizing someone knew everything. I mean everything.
"Run!" I whisper loudly to Simon.
We bolt down the street and go anywhere but the house. I don't want to hurt even more people. Kennedi and Emad pull out a gun while stopping us. They loaded them and held their guns to our heads.
No they won't do it.
"You shouldn't have done that." They both say.
