It's been awhile now since Shawn and Caroline left. The white moonlight shines onto the black pavement and the evening breeze blows the crispy leaves. "Will they hurry up already?" Halley groans. "Just be patient." I try to assure her. I place my hand on her shoulder and she parts a smile. Ever since she went after Juliana I've noticed a change in her personality. She has been more on edge, moody, and not as happy like she normally is. I still love her though, after all, she is my special girl. I'd do anything to make her cheer up. I'd walk, I'd run, I'd even learn to fly, just to see her smile. Times passes by and Shawn and Caroline approach the alley way. "We need to go get some supplies....for when Bryanna wakes up." I can tell Caroline says that hoping she comes back, but we all know there's a greater chance she won't return. Max is sitting beside her and hasn't moved since she was stable. He really likes her, I can't imagine that happening to Halley, I don't know how I'd live if she died. "Okay, I'm in. Anyone else?" I say. Halley looks at me concerned and filled with fear. "Ryan, can I talk to you for a minute?" She leads me out of the alley and stands there. "What's wrong?" I ask her. "What's wrong?! What's wrong?! Are you kidding me?! Ryan I can't let you go okay?! I can't allow you to put yourself in danger!" Her eyes start to water. "I-I love you, I don't want you to leave." I pull her into a hug and comfort her. "I love you too Halley, but Bryanna is going to need our help. Imagine how Max feels right now, if you were Bryanna, I'd want someone to help her too. I will be safe I promise." I assure her. She wipes her tears away and stands up straighter. "Then I'm coming with you too. That way if something happens, I'll be there also." She smiles and we walk back to the group. "We're going to come." Halley says. Shawn nods his head. Eirelyn, Caroline, Shawn, Halley, and me all pick up our things and head off towards the hospital across town. It's not far from where we are, it's just going to be a struggle trying to fight off all the Spreaders.

"Are we even getting close?" Eirelyn sighs. "I'm pretty sure it'll be another hour walk." Shawn replies. We continue to walk for what feels like forever when we stumble across a sticky situation. "Shit!" Halley yells. I look to see where everyone is looking. Fear takes over my body as I scan my surroundings.
This isn't good.
Spreaders.
Many of them.
Spreaders as far as the eye can see.
10 approach us and we draw our weapons.
I can't see anyone else, but all I can hear is an ear piecing scream.
I look and see one of us surround by Spreaders.
Crap, they've been bit!
