Chapter 5

Ookami was blushing.

"Hey Aido! Why'd you hug Ookami-San?"

"Yeah she's weird."

"I saw her scars on her legs!"

Ookami froze. She sprinted in the opposite direction.

"Ookami!"

Emmi turned to the three girls who said the comments. Emmi went crazy. Before anyone saw it coming, Emmi was choking one girl.

"Emmi!"

Zero had to forcibly pull Emmi off the girl. Zero escorted Emmi to her dorm. When Emmi opened the door, Ookami had her knees up to her chest and was crying.

"E-Emmi? What d-did you do?"

Emmi smiled a nervous smile.

"I uh almost killed a girl that made one of those nasty comments."

Ookami laughed at her sister's aggressiveness.

"Hey Kami? Now you have two guys after you. You're lucky. No ones gonna want a girl like me."

"Emmi, what are you talking about, no one is after me. You are way prettier than me and um... my scars."

"Ookami, don't say that."

"But it's true isn't it? Aido only did that to annoy the girls and Zero..." *blushes madly*

"Well you're gonna be late for your date witn Zero if you don't hurry."

"It's not a date."

Ookami walked to the field near the dorms and sat in a tree. When Zero came, he called her name. He saw Ookami's shoe fall off. She kicked her other shoe off and the shoe hit him in the head.

"Oww!!"

"Sorry Zero..."

"Ookami?"

"Up here."

He looked up into the tree. She jumped down but tripped and fell into him. They fell onto the ground.

Ookami was laying on his chest from when they fell.

"Sorry Zero. I'll get up." Zero laid a hand on Ookami's head.

"Actually Ookami, I like it like this."

She started blushing.

*clapping*

"Huh?!?" Both Ookami and Zero looked up.

"Come on lovebirds. You're not supposed to be laying around. We've got work to do!" Emmi said.

"Emmi!" Zero and Ookami said in unison.

"We're not doing anything......" they said in unison again.

"Okay but if you're not so into each other, why are you both blushing?"

Zero and Ookami both avoided eye contact.

"Haha! I knew it! I'll leave so you two can have some 'alone' time. Have fun!"

"E-Emmi!! Wait up!"

Ookami grabbed Emmi's arm.

"Stay, please." She whispered.

Zero was brushing off his pants when Emmi said, "I gotta go, studying with Tera today. Bye."

She ran.

"Umm, so..."

"Soo... you know there's the Homecoming Dance coming up and I uh w-wanted to um..."
