Chapter 29

Emmi went into the house to see Ookami choking Kaname.

"Ookami!" Emmi screamed.

Ookami let go of Kaname. She turned to Emmi.

"You got through my riddle. Well done."

She ran to her and hugged her.

"Did Zero come?" Ookami asked.

"Do you have to ask?"

The girls laughed.

Emmi turned toward Kaname.

"Is this the great Kaname Kuran?"

Ookami nodded. Emmi bent down and helped Kaname up.

"Why are you here, Kaname?" Ookami went to choke him again.

"Ookami!" Emmi yelled.

Ookami bared her fangs and backed away.

"Why are you here!?"

"For you actually." Kaname said.

"Wha-what?"

"Why are you here for my sister!" Emmi said.

"Well since you've awoken, I need to take you to see your real parents."

"M-my real p-parents."

Ookami felt a chill down her spine.

"Yes, they're alive."

"I-no. I can't believe you. I won't."

"Kami, it's your parents."

"But-I'm scared."

"Will you be scared if Zero go with you?" Emmi asked. Ookami shook her head.

"Well it's decided. Zero's going with you."

Emmi pulled Ookami by the arm and left the house. She walked outside and put Ookami's hand in Zero's.

"Zero, would you be a gentleman and walk Ookami back to the dorm?"

"Em, Zero doesn't......"

"Shh! Please Zero, don't bother what she says. Please just take her."

Zero led Ookami home and Emmi walked in the other direction. She pulled out her headphones, iPod and put on her favorite song. She walked through the forest, playing her favorite song.

"Zero. You don't have to walk me."

"Shh..."

Ookami stopped walking.

She then hit Zero's shoulder and yelled,

"Tag, you're it!"

She ran but he was faster. He ran into her and tackled her to the ground. He tickled her.

"N-no s-s-stop. Hahaha. S-stop it."

He stopped but he didn't get up. He got up on his hands and looked down at Ookami.

Meanwhile, Emmi walked through the forest. When she arrived at a little house, she stopped.

"This has to be it."

She opened the door and went rummaging around the place.

"Where is it?"

Emmi walked into a little girl's room. She sat on the bed and started crying.

Emmi wiped her tears away and walked out of the house. She forced a smile and walked back to her dorm.

"I wonder where Ookami is." Emmi said.

She decided to go looking. She walked down almost every trail. Checked her favorite tree, the creek, and Zero's room but she couldn't find her. She finally walked down a trail and saw Ookami's hair.

"Ookami..."

"No Zero, s-stop...."

"Ookami?"
