Ughh!

I woke up to my alarm clock's constant beeping. Maddy's bed had already been made when I turned to wake her up.

"Maddy?" I called out, still half asleep.

"Look who's finally awake, just in time to take a shower!" She said in a very chirpy voice as she came out of the bathroom.

Why was she so damn positive!

"Can I just.. stay in bed for like five more minutes? I don't class till-"

"8.30, yeah me too. But guess what? It's 7.30 so you better start getting ready"

I groaned. If there's anything I love slightly more than oreo is my sleep. So it took me a while to finally get out of bed.

After taking a shower I wore a white crop top with a high waisted black skater skirt. It was the first day and I wanted to look my best. And this was as close as I could get to looking my best. Like my mom always said, "First impressions are always important," Right now she'd probably be pulling my hair from all angles trying to make it into some complicated yet well done hairstyle.

I looked at Maddy who was busy with her own hair at the mirror, she wore a beautiful yellow sundress with a demin jacket on top. After trying and failing miserably to fix her hair, she let her golden locks fall to her shoulders. She looked really pretty. Her bright blue eyes were even brighter today. She was excited.

I tied my hair into a messy bun and I was ready.

"Breakfast?" Maddy asked looking exhausted from battling with her hair.

I took one last look at myself in the mirror and thought to myself how my mother would literally breathe fire if she saw my hair like this.

"Yeah, I'm starving,"

                               ***

"What are you drinking?" I asked as I eyed Maddy's cup suspiciously.

"It's a mixture of yoghurt, oats, banana, honey and.. " She took one more sip before she added, "Cinnamon"

I looked at it one more time. It was purple and had black lumps floating inside. It looked a lot like the monster my mother used to scare me with when I was a child.

"Are you sure you wanna be drinking that?"

"The guy at the counter said it's super healthy and apparently it has a lot of vitamins that sound necessary,"

When I looked at what she was eating I noticed that she had a lot of fruit.

No wonder she doesn't grow fat.

"Where's Olivia?" I asked noticing there was no sassy Australian accent around.

"She said she's running late but she'll meet us soo- Oh no!"

"What? Is it the smoothie? I knew that thing was evil"

"No it's not the smoothie. Look!"

I looked towards the direction she was pointing at and saw Kara.. with a very good looking guy.
"Maddy I know you two have some weird feud or whatever but don't let her ruin your day,"

"No I'm not talking about Kara!" She leaned in and whispered, "I'm talking about the guy that's walking with her,"

"Oh you mean the hot-" Before I could even finish her hand was already on my mouth.
