Riley's POV.

I couldn't stop thinking about Kai's question and generally what was going on with me and him. Bella wasn't picking up and then again, she was always so busy with school and our schedules were so different that it  was so hard to reach her.

I couldn't tell Maddy about it, so I went to someone else who I could tell.

I got to Liv's apartment and she must have been hangovered from last night because she wasn't even answering the door. And then I heard movement from inside and I knew that that was Liv bumping into things on her way to the door.

She opened the door, looking tired as hell. She still had her costume on but it had stains on it and she reeked of alcohol. Her make up was smudged all over her face and he hair looked like a family of gorillas spent the night in it. She groaned when she saw me.

"Wow! Good morning?"

She just grumbled in response.

"Why are you here?"

"Why do you look so disgusting?"

She took a moment before talking then just stopped all at once.

"I have such a bad headache and please tell me it's you who smells like that?"

"Oh honey!" I laughed because she looked so miserable.

She took a whiff of her clothes and pulled away immediately.

"Ugh. Ok I need a shower. And an asprin"

"I knew you wouldn't have some and I figured you'd be having a hangover from hell so," I held up a bottle of asprin which I removed from my bag.

"You are a life saver mate!"

"Take this," I told her as I handed her the asprin, "then go take a shower!"

"Yes ma'm!"

"I'll make something that will help with the hangover. Breakfast?"

"Please!"

She took a shower as I made her a hangover remedy. This was my life for the whole of high school ever since sophomore year. Every morning after a night of partying, Trevor would be so hangovered so I had to learn how to make these remedies because mom and dad didn't know about it. Some mornings were better than others. Some mornings he would be just fine because he didn't drink as much but others he'd be a mess and I would always help him out.

I made some lemon juice and added honey and mixed it with some tomato juice with just a little cayenne pepper.

Trevor always hated it, I knew Liv would hate it too but it had to be done.

I made her breakfast while she was still getting ready. I didn't know how much I had missed cooking until I finally did it. Every time my parents were away on a business trip, I would always cook. Of course some days Trevor insisted on ordering pizza because 'he was not in the mood of eating fancy meals' but that was just his way of caring about me because he thought I was working too hard.

I made Liv some toast and scrambled eggs with some bacon and warm milk.

That was all she had in her fridge anyway.

"Smells good in here mate!" Liv said as she walked in, her hair still wet from the shower.

"Thanks. Hungry?"

"Starving!"

I watched her eat her food ravenously like she hadn't been fed in a week. She looked better though. Less disgusting.
