Chapter 18 "Destiny's trials"

- What are you talking about Susanna? Juliet is not your baby, it's Candy's baby!!!

- She's in my belly...

- Because you stole her... It's like you're having memory loss, Susanna...

- Candy doesn't deserve this baby!!! She's got Angel and she's going to have a baby with her good doctor! Don't you think that would be a confusing environment for Juliet to know that she and her sister have the same father and that her other brother who could've been her twin, doesn't have the same father? That her brother's father will always be there present and that her daddy won't be there? She's going to be confused, she won't understand! I want to avoid her that confusion to my Juliet, I want to save her from that bad environment...

- Stop playing with words Susanna!!! You stole Candy's baby and now you want to keep it! That's all!!!

- The procedure is on, Terry, you can't stop it... I'm going to get custody of my baby and ... and you're not going to stop me! And the request was made under both of our names!

- You're rubbish! Said Terry angry.

- I'm carrying your baby Terry, I need calm. The stress is bad for the baby...

Susanna got out of the room leaving Terry puzzled. Terry decided to go out to go see Candy and explain to her that he had nothing to do with Susanna's schemes. He got there and rang the door. Archie went to open the door, because Candy was too upset.

- Archie? You're here for Candy?

- Yes, I hope you're not here to stop me...

- You're working for my company..., Terry started, but...

- WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE???!!! Said Candy's voice angry, GO AWAY! I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU! GO AWAY!!!

Terry was so surprised to see Candy that angry, he opened his mouth for a moment.
Candy got closer, pushed Archie away from the door and she slammed the door on Terry's face.

- Candy!!! Said Terry, open the door, please, Candy!!!

- YOU GO TO HELL TERRY! IF YOU DON'T WANT ME TO CALL THE POLICE, GO AWAY!!! YOU GO FCKU YOURSELF!!!!

Archie looked at her go to her bedroom and burst into tears. She was red with anger.

Terry didn't insist and he left. She knew that when Candy was that angry, it was no use to try to reason with her. Susanna had managed to ruin his relationship with Candy. He took his cellphone and call Archie.

- Archie? How are you?

- She's very angry...

- I'm counting on you to help her

- Really? I thought it would be a conflict of interest.

- Archie, I helped you get on your feet because you're my friend... You don't belong to me. And if you weren't helping her already, I would've told you to help her...

- All right.

- Can you make this go away?

- The procedure is on Terry, it's too late to stop it. There's going to be a trial... I can see if I can soften things with social services, but it's going to be hard... Susanna's accusation are pretty serious Terry and she's attacking Candy's morality...

- Well getting pregnant by her good doctor does not help matters for her! Said Terry ironically.

Archie felt Terry jealousy and he smiled. He couldn't tell him that he was Romeo's father... Candy would really kill him!

- As a matter of fact, no. The baby your wife is carrying should've been in Candy's belly... she wants to press charges for embryo theft...

- My God! Said Terry with a weary tone.

- The baby is viable, so...

- I understand, but Susanna is unstable... who know what she can do to the baby...

- You think she can hurt the baby?

- No... but we never know. She could disappear with the baby for instance...

- Well Candy has decided to press charges... She can't stay without reacting while you're trying to take h r baby away from her...

- I have nothing to do with it!

- All right, but the papers say otherwise... All right, I'm going to help Candy. But it might get ugly in court... Bye Terry

Terry went back home and didn't talk to his wife...

Since Candy and Susanna were both almost due to give birth, the judge gave a trial date pretty fast to solve that case faster...

Terry didn't go back at Candy's, so he won't make her upset. Angel continued to spend days with him and Evan. She was not very happy, because her daddy and her mommy were not talking. And it was like she was getting weaker and weaker.

Terry called Candy who refused to pick up, so he left a message on her voicemail hoping she was going to listen to it, after all if Angel was with him, she had to worry about her health...

"Candy, I know you don't want to speak to me, but I'm calling about Angel. I found her to be weak and sad. All this tension between us is not good for her. She's sick and her mood has to be good and for the moment it's low and it's affecting her health. So Candy, I'm begging you, for our daughter, let's make up. I have nothing to do with the trial, it's Susanna's schemes. I love you Candy."
