[NAVI] Missing You

Saturday 3:00 a.m.

Wonshik punched in the passcode for the lock and carefully opened the door to their dorm. The lights were turned off and not a single sound could be heard.

Everyone was asleep and so should have Wonshik. But he was in his studio the entire week for recording that he forgot to return home even once. He decided to go back to the dorms just for tonight to pack a few clean clothes before he returns to the studio again.

As he walked into the living room, a black silhouette startled him from the pitch darkness. Wonshik squinted his eyes to make out whom it was and as he approached closer, he realized it was Hakyeon. The older was lying on the sofa and sleeping silently there.

Why is he sleeping in the living room? Wonshik scratched his head. He didn't want to disturb the older or question why the leader decided to sleep on the sofa rather than his big luxurious bedroom. He likes the sofa that much huh?

Wonshik cracked a smile while thinking about the possibility.

He decided to let the older sleep peacefully while he went into the bathroom to take a shower. Wonshik was tired and wanted to sleep too but he had too much left unfinished that he couldn't fall asleep at ease. Once Wonshik starts a song, he would sacrifice all of his days and nights until he is finished with it. It was obviously bad for his health but he couldn't help it. That's just the type of person he is.

He went into his bedroom quietly without disturbing the youngest who shares the same room as him. Hyuk was sleeping soundly as well. Everyone has been very tired because of their promotions so nothing could wake Hyuk up at such an odd hour.

Wonshik went into the kitchen to grab a drink while drying his hair with a towel. He wanted to just take a break at home before going back out so he wandered around the dorms without a sound. He peeked into all the other members' individual bedroom as well to see how everyone was doing. Wonshik sees his members at work very often but almost never in the dorms anymore. He felt bad about it especially towards the youngest who had to sleep alone in the bedroom.

He went into Jaehwan's room and saw the older's bed sheets ruffled all over the floor. Wonshik laughed at the messy appearance of Jaehwan who was asleep. He picked up the bed sheets and placed it back over onto of the older.

"Hmm?" Jaehwan woke up after sensing someone in his bedroom and putting the sheets over him.

"Sorry, did I wake you up?" Wonshik said.

"You're back?" Jaehwan asked in a mumbling and half-asleep tone.

"Just to grab a few clothes."

"I see. Is Hakyeon-hyung still sleeping in the living room?"

"Yeah, I saw him on the sofa so I didn't want to wake him up. Why is he sleeping out there?"

"It's because of you."

"Me?" Wonshik questioned in confusion.

"He's been waiting for you to come home every night. We all miss having you at the dorms you know, but Hakyeon misses you even more. He wanted to tell you to come home but he's worried that it would trouble you. So, he decided to just wait out there instead. He's such a silly hyung isn't he?" Jaehwan laughed.

"Yeah..." Wonshik felt a jab of guilt after realizing how much he has affected his members by not returning to the dorms.

Wonshik put Jaehwan back to bed and went outside to the living room instead of getting changed.

He sat on the sofa next to where Hakyeon was sleeping and watched the older sleep in the small, confined space. He never thought that he was the reason why Hakyeon would choose to sleep in such an uncomfortable position rather than return to his own bedroom. It was all because of Wonshik.

Wonshik stared at Hakyeon's sleeping face and gently ran his fingers along the older's soft silky hair. Even though they see each other from time to time, seeing the older at home definitely made him feel something more. He leaned down to kiss the older's forehead and his heart melted a bit when the older mumbled in his sleep.

Wonshik stared at the older's complexion closer as he kneeled next to Hakyeon instead. Just a closer look.

As he watched the older sleep peacefully, he couldn't help but trace his fingers along the older's beauty marks on the side. It was as if they were points of a constellation and Wonshik never realized how beautiful they were until now. He's never really gotten the chance to look at the older so closely and in such a calm atmosphere. He was at home, a place where he didn't have to worry about work or anyone for that matter except him and his beloved members.

Just then, he heard Hakyeon mumble something while sleeping and the older began to tear up.

"Hyung," Wonshik began to call out in worries. Was the older having a nightmare?

Wonshik ruffled the leader's hair to calm the other down but it only made Hakyeon cry a bit more.

"Hyung, wake up," he decided to call out again.

Hakyeon finally jolted awake by Wonshik's voice and opened his eyes. As soon as he saw Wonshik, he got up and hugged the younger tightly.

"Wonshik-ah, Wonshik-ah," he cried out.

"Yes hyung, I'm here. Don't worry. Don't cry," Wonshik caressed the older in his embrace.

"Don't go anywhere please. Don't disappear."

"I'm not going anywhere. I promise," Wonshik said and the moment he did, Hakyeon fell back to sleep.

Wonshik finally realized how his lack of presence at the dorms was affecting the older. Even though they see one another for their schedules, Wonshik never realized that behind the smile on Hakyeon's face was a worried leader. Hakyeon wanted to desperately tell Wonshik to go home with him and the rest but was worried for inconveniencing the rapper as well.

Even though Wonshik would have no problems with Hakyeon whining or wanting to be spoiled from time to time, the leader thought otherwise. Hakyeon was always the type to overthink things and in the end, stresses himself out instead.

Watching Hakyeon lay there asleep and tears barely drying, Wonshik finally decided to get up. He turned off all the lights in the living room and the hallways. Then, he went back to the older and carried him up.

Tonight, Wonshik wanted to stay by the older's side and be the first person that Hakyeon sees when he wakes up in the morning.

And to be honest, Wonshik wanted to see Hakyeon wake up by his side once he opens his eyes as well.
