"Evan whats wrong?" Jared shook his friend by the shoulders, bringing the dazed boy out of his daydream. "I'm sorry, w-what did you say?" Evan looked into Jared's eyes after blinking the daydream from his mind. "Jesus Hansen, you have been in and out of the clouds all day. You could at least pay attention to what I have to say Acorn-boy." Evan nodded, blushing from the aftermath of the memory and from the embarrassment of being caught, more than once, in his daydream state.
Evan was just glad Jared didn't know what he was daydreaming about. Jared's mouth curled into a smirk. "So Hansen, you daydreaming about 'C-connor' ?" Jared said mocking his voice and stutter. Evan's face went pale, panicked if he knew about the two boy's kiss. "N-no I wasn't " Jared chuckled. "Uhuh, suuuure. gay-boi" Jared poked him in the shoulder. " You know you crave that man-ass." Jared giggled at his joke, unknowing to how accurate it really was.
Evan blushed "N-no I don't " his embarrassment made his anxiety kick in. He didn't know if Jared knew or not..
Jared was walking down to a lunch table. "Come on Evan, we need to sit. " Evan followed him to the table, avoiding the gaze of the hundreds of other students. Jared droned on about his new high scores and the different types of bath bombs he could eat.
"You still realize Bath Bombs will kill you right..?" Evan asked his 'friend'. Evan looked at Jared with blank and distant eyes, he always detached himself when he felt anxious from the numerous amount of people. Evan's hands rested on his chin, supporting his head as he stared at his friend. "You don't know that Evan." Jared leaned forward with his hands on his hips, Evan sighed in disappointment. "Well, actually I do, but ok." Evan started to drift of into the the metaphoric clouds in the sky. His friend droned on about how Evan was wrong and that he could, and how Lush was the good cush.
"Evan get your head out of the clouds man. " Jared punched him in the arm, getting his attention for the 40th time today. Or atleast thats what Jared said.
"Sorry, I just.. " Evan sighed, blushing, he got up. "I h-have to go.." Evan darted to the bathroom.
Evan splashed his face with water, trying to clear the memory of the kiss from his head. He felt pathetic, he couldn't get the kiss out of his head. Evan stared at the mirror at his reflection. His blue and white stripped polo and his cast.
Unbeknownst to him, Connor was standing in the door way of a stall, watching Evan from a distance, a blunt in his fingers, breathing in the huffs of smoke now and then. Connor opened the stall door and stood behind Evan. "Well hey there sweetheart." Connor gruffly whispered in Evan's ear, his arms snaking around his waist. Evan turned a shade of red, he looked down avoiding eye contact through the mirror.
"No need to be shy Hansen, I'm not going to hurt you.." Connor turned Evan to face him, twisting Evan's back against the sink. Evan looked up into his eyes, his eyes darted between Connor's eyes and mouth.
"I um, I c-can't help it." Evan blushed and looked down. Suddenly Evan's chin was once again captured by Connor's cold fingers. Evan shivered at the touch, closing his eyes, prepared for the worst, but possibly the best.
Then Connor kissed him on the cheek, then walked away. Evan opened his eyes, disappointing and shocked. Hansen watched as he walked away. "See ya around Hansen." Connor waved his blunt to the ground, walking out of the bathroom.
Evan stood there in shock till the bell rang.
Evan didn't know how this, thing, whatever it was, was going to work out. He hoped for the better.
