Augustus POV

Hazel called me, I was scared when I saw my phone ringing and it was her contact name. My first thoughts were "Did she die?". I was scared but I was extremly surprised when I heard her voice. It was actually a big relief, she couldn't die yet, we had so much more to do with our lives.

I go and take a shower after laying in bed a few minutes after Hazel called. I sit on the toilet and take off my prosthetic leg; it looks purple and I know something isn't right but I convince myself that it's nothing. I haven't taken off the prosthetic leg in a while so it might me that.

I grab onto the shower door with my left hand and with my right I grab the rail inside the shower and hop in. With my left hand on the rail, I turn on the water with my right and stand there a while. It's nice to stand in the shower while water falls on you. It's really relaxing. With my right hand, I turn to my left and grab the soap. I lather my body up with the soap and the soap that attaches to my skin falls soon after with the water. I then get the shampoo and squeeze it on my head. Using my right hand, I scrub the soap on my wet hair and it starts bubbling up and after a while I rinse it off.

I grab the towel and wrap it around my waist and hop back to my room. I decided not to put on the prothetic leg, I'm going to try to lower the bruising. As I'm walking into my room, Isaac is sitting there on my bed.

"I called you and your mom answered. She said it was okay for me to come over and wait in your room."

I smile "I haven't seen you in a while,bro"

He smiles back, "Same here, well I haven't seen you for a while since I'm 100% blind now."

I can't help but to laugh and he starts laughing too.

"You know, I went to the hospital but you weren't there." He says

"Oh shit, I'm so sorry! I haven't been able to think much, I'm sorry."

He smiles, "It's okay dude, I was able to comfort Hazel's mom and I was allowed to go in and "See" her. I talked to her for a while."

I'm tired from standing on one leg.

"Hey Isaac, can you come here and help me get to my bed?"

He looks confused but he gets up anyway. He reaches his hands out and I grab one of them.

"I took off my prosthetic leg, it's been bothering me."

He turns his head to me, like he can still see and I see his worried look.

"You don't think it's back do you?" he asks

"I hope not."

We both stay quiet for a while and he finally speaks up.

"Have you told your parents?"

"No, I don't want to worry them right now. After all, we're too busy worrying about Hazel."

Issac gives me a concerned look, he wants me to tell my parents.

"So what do you want to do?" I ask him trying to move on from the conversation.

"I don't know. You?" he tells me

"How bout blind video games?"

He laughs, "Sure why not."

Then I get a phone call. I look at the number calling and it says Hazel's Mom.
