Nightmare under the moonlight

Emotional Bleeding.

I couldn't believe my eyes, Kai was really back... he came back for his revenge. I stared at him with eyes filled with confusion, why did he come so late? Or to be more specific, why was he on our backyard?

- You came here to take your revenge. As you promised. I said with a smile, I decided to play the role of the villain well. And I always end what I start.

- Yeah though I am curious to know why you said you're sorry.

- Why do YOU care?

- The woman I want to make suffer is crying like a baby asking me and her ex boyfriend to forgive and says she's sorry even though I didn't do anything to hurt her yet. Is that enough?

- My problem, not yours, now get out of here. This isn't your home.

- Oh Regina. Did you forget? We always played late at night when adults were sleeping, we used to imagine all kinds of situations and adventures. Heck, we even played Romeo and Juliet. He said and I sensed he was implying something with this last part.

- Exactly Kai, we "played" them, we never WERE them. I said and he jumped above the balcony coming just a few inches away from my face. His breath was heavy, his body was warm, I could sense it since he was so close. His eyes were looking at my face, I was looking away, I had nothing to explain to him. 

- Was it really just an act, Regina.

- Yes.

- Then say it while looking at me in the eye. He said forcing me to look at him, I glared at him as I felt my heart fill with rage and annoyance.

- It was JUST an ACT! I said right into his face and he seemed shocked that I actually had the guts to say it. That I was able to act so cold.

- Then I guess you really are a monster. He said with bitterness. I pushed him back and smirked.

- I never needed you nor Daniel, If I find something amusing I play along. I'm sure you remember, when we were kids I never played games that weren't any fun.

- Yeah, I remember alright, you managed to fool me back then too.

- I guess my acting skills were THAT good. I said and threw my hair back in a dramatic way. He seemed furious by this state but soon he seemed to wonder about something.

- Or you're simply acting now to make you look bad. He said and I stared at him in an ironic manner.

- Are you saying that I'm trying to fake my own wickedness? 

- I wouldn't be surprised. You are THAT good at acting. He said turning my own words back at me.

- Well, to be honest. I'm not faking anything. I am who I am, nothing more, nothing less. I said coldly and decided to go back to bed.

- Regina wait!

- If you don't leave now I'll scream and cause a ruckus. Get out of here. I said and he seemed heartbroken. I didn't care if that was true or not, what was important was that I had managed to fool him once again and make sure nothing was going against my plans. Without any more talking I went back inside and locked the doors to ensure that he wouldn't enter. I went back to bed, closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep, hoping that I would forget my worries and sadness.        The next morning came fast, I felt heavy and tired, not to mention I was freezing to death.  As I tried to walk I felt that the room was spinning and fell down with a loud thump. One of the maids came in and saw me. She hurried to help stand up and touched my forehead.

- Oh my god you're burning up miss.  She said to me with terror.

- Great, please help me get to bed. I said and she did as I requested. Soon she informed my parents and they came to my bedroom to see my condition. After a quick check up it was decided that I would spent today and tomorrow in bed. I guess I had to postpone my plans for the day and once I became better, I will make sure that I have the protection I need against these two. I will rise victorious from this fight, I swear it. Until then however, I will wait and rest while stopping this bleeding of emotions from destroying my mask of perfectiom. I will end this at last and return to my perfect life. The perfect life of a perfect girl.
