I was almost done with my clothing and make up, all I needed was the pendant Kai bought me, If I had to guess he would want me to wear it. I was wearing a long white topless dress with a pair of blue diamonts and white heels. My hair were down and so was my mood. I really didn't want to do this but if Kai could support me as a buisnessman then I had no choice but to accept. I couldn't really be picky about the people I wanted to help in, at least not much. I left after locking my room and went down to the restaurant hoping that Kai would be quick with his words, I found him sitting in a table for two decorated in a manner that clearly wasn't meant for buisness, I seriously thought of turning back but then he spotted me and came to greet.
- Good evening Regina. Please come this way. He said leading to the table. Guess there were some of those so called "knights" that girls dream about. Once I sat down I decided to get straight into the subject, I had only one question in my head that demanded an answer immediately.
- So, tell me. How exactly can YOU of all people help with my goal? I asked and he left a sigh. He looked at me dissapointed before responding.
- Is this seriously the only reason you came? He asked me.
- Yes and unless you plan on talking then I have no reason to be here.
- Very well then. However you must promise to at least take a stroll with me around town.
- Fine. Now talk. I said coldly.
- As you remember my family owns a chain of homemade products such as jams, pillows, clothing and stuff.

- Simple, providing you with the money you will need and the connections we have all you have to do is use the products we have, not all of them but still a good amount. He said and I felt like there was something he deliberately didn't tell me.

- Well, there is one product that is coming out and my parents are looking for someone to give it a little... push in the market.

- It's about healthy lifestyle, a juice to be exact. It's practically a mix of fruits and milk. He said and I thought that it could be fine so long as I wasn't involved in any actions leading to the world of darkness.
- Very well. I'll see that the promotion will happen once I manage to create some sort of fame, hopefully a good one. I said and with that the conversation ended. We ordered something to eat and after he asked me a few things about the facility I planed on creating we had a small walk around town. I promised to take at least a stroll with him around town and I intented to keep my word. As we walked Kai began talking to me about our childhood days and our embarrassing moments. I laughed and enjoyed his company yet I made sure to keep a distance, I never forgot that Kai had once confessed to me and that even now his emotions for me were more than that of a childhood friend. He wanted me as a man and I as a woman had to either accept or reject, there was no middle soloution. As the alarm clock in his phone striked midnight we both decided to go to our rooms and rest.
- I can escort you there if you want.
- No thank you, I can go there on my own.
- Okay...Hey, Regina?
- Yes?
- Are you in love with Simon? He asked and I almost lost my balance as I walked, he caught me and pulled me close to him. I stared at him for a while then decided that being so close could create misunderstandings and tried to leave, too bad that Kai wasn't going to let me go though. He repeated his question and after a moment of silence I answered.
- No. It's a marriage our families came up with. I said and he seemed relieved for a second but then his worried and serious expression returned.
- What about Daniel?
- Are you seriously interrogating me about my feelings? I asked shocked by his persistance.
- No, sorry. It's just that, even now... I have hopes that we can be together. He said bringing his face closer.
- No Kai. I said trying to break free without any luck. Instead he pulled closer once again and then... we kissed. I froze in shock as my brain was trying to understand what was happening. Kai, my childhood friend, was kissing me?! He didn't seem to mind since he deepened the kiss even more, he stopped for a brief moment to bite me lower lip, asking me to open up. I didn't do it, I was still not going to accept that Kai of all people wanted me by his side as a woman. As he stared at my eyes I saw adoration and despair, he seemed like a puppy. I suddenly realized where this was going and the moment I felt his embrace losing strenght I pushed him away, and run off to my room. I didn't look back not even for a second. I couldn't hepl but feel the urge to hide myself away from him, from Daniel, from everyone. I unlocked the door entered and once I closed the door I fell on my knees and began weeping. What have I done?
