September the 5th, I have officially began my task as I had announced during my birthday. However things have become far too complicated since then. For starters, Daniel confessed to me.
(Flashback)
The party had just ended and I was saying goodnight to everyone. Simon had left early because he wanted to make some plans of his own for which I was completely unaware. When everyone left I went to my bedroom and changed to a pair of silk Pjs. I was so tired I thought I would sleep for a whole year, however my peacefull sleep would have to wait, I was told by one of our maids that Daniel was downstairs and wanted to see me. I wore a robe and told the maid to bring him here, I didn't know what he wanted and truth be told I didn't really care. When he came inside he closed the door and looked at me with hope and... regret?
- What is it that you want to talk to me about Daniel?
- I came here to apologize.
- Apologize? Interesting. Please, go on.
- I discovered everything about your family and your role in this nonsense with the mafia and the world of darkness. He said and I felt my heart freeze, the room began to spin around and my whole body was shaking like crazy. HE KNEW?! HOW?!
- W-W-What... are you...
- Don't even bother lying to me about it Regina, I have my sources and I asure you that they are dependable. He told me seriously, I could only stand and stare when suddenly I felt my body collapse to the ground. It was over, I had lost! He knew the whole story, my perfect life was now in the palm of his hand, he had me cornered. Suddenly he touched my shoulder gently, I looked up to him only to regain my fighting spirit back and push him away. I couldn't give up I wasn't going to give up.
- Have you come to glote then?
- I already told you I wanted to apologize.
- For what?!
- For thinking you were that kind of person. You aren't a bad person Regina. You're just confused.
- STOP IT! Don't you dare play psycho analysis with me! You don't know me, you don't know a single thing.
- I know that you really did love me back then.
- No I did not. You're mistaken.
- I am not. If all you wanted was to hurt me you wouldn't have opened up to me, also...

- Kai told me about when he saw you crying in the balcony asking us both to forgive you. He said and I felt my blood boil. Kai told Daniel? Wait, they both thought of all that?
- If that is part of your scheme then I-
- It's no scheme Regina. Please, give me a chance to renew this love you want to forget, give US a chance. He said and hugged me, I couldn't even react, I just stood there in his arms and didn't do anything, I didn't feel anything, I didn't feel love nor hatred, I just felt empty.
- Go away. I whispered, he suddenly released and looked at me in the eye.
- Regina I-
- Go away! I don't need to love, I don't need you. I only need to follow the path that was chosen for me. That way everything will be perfect, me, my life and my future! You are not part of it Daniel! You aren't now and you never will be so LEAVE ME ALONE! I said furious and he seemed shocked by my words. He didn't say another word and left the room in a hurry closing the door behind him.

I was now in a luxurious ship heading to Italy and in one of the best cabins no less. I was laying down, thinking wondering. I always said that my perfect life would have me marrying a rich man, be a respectable person and possess the huge heirloom that was meant for me. However as I began thinking about the marriage I realized that Daniel and Simon were on the same level. Both were rich, from a respectable family and had good and bad traits. Now I knew Simons bad habbits but I was sure there was at least one good thing about him. I just hadn't found it yet. As I tossed around the bed I felt something beside me, when I opened my eyes I came face to face with a small box that had a card on it. I stood up and looked at it carefully, it was from Kai!
" REGINA
BY THE TIME YOU WILL READ THIS CARD I WILL ALREADY BE IN ITALY WAITING FOR YOU. I WANT YOU TO MEET ME THE MOMENT YOU ARRIVE. I MADE ARRANGEMENTS AND I WILL BE STAYING ON THE SAME HOTEL WITH YOU, ASK THE RECEPTIONIST AND SHE WILL TAKE YOU TO MY ROOM. PLEASE, WE NEED TO TALK.
KAI."
I leave a sign before placing in a sidetable. I guess the future still holds many suprises for me, huh? Oh well, I guess I have to hold on tight and face this new challenge. For my perfect fututre.
