Why is it that time goes by so fast?
For beautiful things to even last.
Like shooting stars we see at night,
Just like how fireworks would lose their light.
Pretty as it may seem to the eye,
Painful like there is no You and I.
Like fireworks fading in the night sky,
Like feelings that happen to just pass by.
So happy they may be as they rise,
Soon as they fall, you will hear their cries.
It is temporary happiness
That can hide our true loneliness.
But just like fireworks in the night sky,
Are the memories of You and I.
In the short period of our time,
At least it was certainly worthwhile.
Feelings come as they may also fade.
Memories they won't fall in the shade.
Keep those happy moments in our mind,
Just like how two fates are intertwined.
