"I Wonder if Her Tear was the Answer"
That was pretty much how it started...
There he stood,
Sitting by the window made out of wood.
His eyes trailed off to a distance,
Keeping him in a still trance.
His mind wandered,
Thoughts consumed him as he remembered,
The confusion he had for her,
Just what could be the answer?
What could be the answer to stop her from doubting herself?
She was clearly the best book out of the shelf!
She definitely was the brightest star in the night sky.
Yet she doubts herself but why?
What could be the answer to stop her from over-thinking?
Clearly within her sea of thoughts, she is drowning.
She kept on thinking of everything more on the negative,
That it made her unable to be positive.
What could be the answer for her to appreciate who she is?
Could it possibly be being called his?
But no, she didn't feel one bit better in his company.
Instead, she felt out of place and a lot more lonely.
He saw her then crying in the rain,
Asking what could help her ease the pain.
He saw the tear that has stained her now reddish cheeks,
He saw how different she was from the past few weeks.
He then wondered,
"What if her tear was the answer?"
He might have pondered,
"What if it was for her to love her?"
He knew he pitied her,
He knew he loved her,
Yet he knew she deserved better,
That's why he left her a letter.
He wished her happy days,
He promised her there'd be more ways,
He told her how he had to let her go,
He said how much he loved her so.
...That was pretty much how it would have ended.
