We got to the pier and sat in the car looking at all the people walking around. They all looked happy. There was a family that passed by my window. They had 1 teen and a little sister. The little sister looked about 10. The teen was probably 15.

They were joking with their parents. I started to tear up why do my parents hate me so much. That was going through my mind on repeat. I then got out of the car and started to walk away. I could hear Ashley calling for me. I walked straight to the closest bathroom and locked myself in a stall.

I can hear the door open, it was Ashley because she was calling me. I couldn't hold back my tears anymore. I started to cry heavily. Not caring if Ashley could hear me. I went to the corner of the handicap stall and push my legs up to my chest. I see feet at the opening of the door. I recognized that it was Ashley. I didn't get up to unlock the door I just looked at her feet while I was crying.

The words your worthless that's why your parents beat you. You are never going to please them. Your lucky that they don't throw you out of the house. Your weak and pathetic no one likes you. You will never live up to their expectations. You'll always disappoint them.  You're nothing but a downgrade. Those and many more words were going through my head.

It was engulfing me to were I couldn't hear anything. Just those cruel words on repeat. I cried even louder I tried to make them go away. I hadn't realized that Ashley had climbed over the stall to try and help me calm down. I leaned into her and gripped on her shirt for dear life. Ashley was stroking my back while holding me.  She slowly rocked back and forth.
