Chapter 3: It's Official

*Sophia's POV:

We all went outside the cafeteria. Me, Stephen and Cindy. Stephen held my hand as we went outside.

"Stephen. You never told me that you have hidden feelings for Sophia. I knew it." She said proudly. I can't hide the tomatoes forming in my cheeks again.

"You knew what?" I asked.

"That Stephen likes you. The first time we had you as a friend, I know that Stephen had already special feelings for you. The way he looks at you every time you smile, the way he cares for you and the way he protects you, I know that there is already something. Sophia, you're very lucky." Cindy commented. I'm not really a 'long-term' friend of Cindy. We had been friends when I was on ninth-grade. I had been bullied by a bunch of girls when Cindy came by. She saw what's happening and immediately helped me against that mean girls. She was planning to bring me to the clinic but my ankle hurts. I can't stand that easily because afterwards I fell. Then that's the time when my hero, Stephen, came. Cindy asked for Stephen's help and Stephen did helped us right away. He gently brought me and we headed to the clinic. What a nice guy! Then that's the time when Cindy and Stephen became my friends. No one bullied me since then. 

"Oh." The only reply I can think of. I can't help but smile. I looked at Stephen and saw him smiling as well.

"Stephen and Sophia, I have to go now. I have to do something important. Bye for now. Just update me when 'It is official'. Bye guys." She then bid her goodbye and headed away from our direction. Me and Stephen are now alone. I don't know how to open up the topic.

"Uhmm... Stephen. Wha-what did you..." Before I could finish my sentence, I already felt Stephen's embrace from behind. Everything feels so great. If this was just a dream, I don't wanna be awake anymore. Let this just be a dream. But no, this is all true.

"Look. Sophia, I love you... so much. Just give me the chance to prove it to you. Sophia, will you be my girlfriend?" Stephen whispered that brings shiver down to my spine. As I heard those words, I immediately pulled him and hugged him tightly.

"Yes." I replied afterwards.

"I am the happiest guy alive. I'll be the perfect boyfriend for you. I promise." He commented.

"You don't need to be perfect. I love you for who you are." I said to him.

"I'll promise that I will take care of you. I'll protect you and never will I hurt you. I love you so much Sophia." He then said as he was holding my hand.

"I love you too Stephen." I replied.

"Sophia, can I be the one to ride you to school and afterwards drive you home?" He asked.

"Ok." I gently answered giving him a sincere smile. I can't believe that all of this is happening. I thought that Stephen will just be a friend. Now, I'm her official girlfriend. No guy ever did this to me. Stephen is really the one for me. No wonder that girls tried their very best to be Stephen's girlfriend but 'Sorry because Stephen is taken, Stephen is mine.' I won't regret this decision... NEVER. Then we both headed to our class.
