"John! John, I need you!" John sighed and closed his computer on the blog he was writing on their most recent case. "What is it, Sherlock?" John saw Sherlock laying on the couch in his usual 'bored' position. "Are you bored again? We just finished a case." Sherlock turned his head slightly, "No John that's not it." John looked exhausted. Neither of them had gotten any sleep in the past few days. For Sherlock, this was normal, but for John, he was at a point where if he closed his eyes he would crash from exhaustion. "Sherlock, I have not slept in 3 days, I am going to bed this can wait until tomorrow." He turned on his heels and went directly to his room. Sherlock sat there thinking about John. This was unusual for him, he never thought of things as primitive and human as how other people looked. John was different though. Sherlock noticed every detail of John as if he was deducing him the first day they met. Sherlock was sure that his feelings for John were not mutual. John had plenty of female companions and showed no signs of mutual feelings for him. Each day he saw John, it was harder and harder to contain his feelings. He knew that John could not last as long as he could without sleep. Sherlock soon entered his mind palace, he saw himself sitting in the room he created for John getting lost in memories of their cases together. He hadn't noticed that it was morning until John shook his shoulder. John could tell the difference of when Sherlock was asleep and when he was in his mind palace. "Sherlock, whats wrong?" Sherlock hadn't noticed that he had been crying, he was too lost in thought. "Wh-what do you- oh I'm fine John really." Sherlock stumbled over his words trying to contain his emotions. The doctor sat next to him with his arm around the detective trying to comfort him. John knew that Sherlock was sensitive about people touching him and felt the shiver at the impact. Sherlock realized who it was and melted into John's embrace. "You know you can tell me anything right love?" John said looking at his detective. It was only a moment later that he had realized what he said. Sherlock looked up at him both confused and pleased. "I-I'm sorry, I don't know-" John was cut off by Sherlock putting his arm around him and giving him a small squeeze. "It's fine John, call me whatever you like." Sherlock looked at his blogger noticing the pink growing darker on his cheeks. "Now Sherlock, what did you want to tell me?" John asked in a soft embracing tone. "Oh right, I was bored because of not having a case." John thought for a minute. Greg had not called with a new case because he thought John would need the break and he knew that Sherlock wouldn't come unless John was right by his side. "It's ok though John, you need rest and I can find something to entertain me until you are ready to get back out there." Sherlock tried to stand up but noticed that John was not letting him leave. "John what are-" Sherlock was cut off by John placing a finger on his lips. "Sherlock, I have noticed in the past few days some behavioral changes in you whenever I enter the room. Is there something you wish to tell me?" Sherlock felt the warmth of his blush rise to his cheeks. His eyes widened and his pupils noticeably dilated. John knew at once what his detective was thinking. "Sherlock, for once can I deduce you?" John asked with a smirk. "Alright then Watson, do your worst" Sherlock sat back and John stood up sitting between the detective's legs looking directly into Sherlock's mesmerizing blue eyes. "I know that you are beginning to feel emotions and that you are scared. I know that you are afraid of rejection and are afraid to admit that you do have human parts to you. You try to cover these emotions by saying you are 'bored' but I see that you feel lonely. The one thing I cannot deduce is who." Sherlock sat there in pride and amazement. "Very impressive John. You are going to have to figure out who it is before I tell you." John smiled slowly getting closer to his detective. "I have one suspect," John said in a whisper. He slowly moved his face closer to Sherlock's and pressed his lips to Sherlock's. They stayed like that for what felt like ages. As they parted Sherlock gave a small whine as the blogger broke away. "John- how did you-" "Remember Sherlock, I can read emotions." Sherlock giggled something that he had never done before in front of anyone. All he knew was that he felt safe around John and only John. He moved back onto the couch, and Sherlock put his head on John's lap. They spent the rest of the night watching Doctor Who while John was playing with Sherlock's curls until they both fell asleep. Neither could remember when they had been happier.
