Joey’s POV:
“Joey, I don’t want to pull you into my drama, ” Lauren says, running her fingers through her hair. She walks over to the couch and I follow her. I look at her confused.
“Why?” I ask. She sighs, looking down at the floor.
“Because I’m afraid that you will agree with them and not see my side.” she replies, her voice shaky. Anger builds inside me.
Lauren’s POV:
“What makes you think that?! I have agreed with you every time so far! You just jump to conclusions without actually trying to trust me!” he yells. I feel tears start forming. “You can’t be friends with someone without trusting them! I trust you! Why would you think I wouldn’t agree with you? I think it would just be best if we aren’t friends! ”
“Joey, I-I didn’t mean it like that, ” I say quietly. He shakes his head, walking off and slamming his door shut. I slowly sit down on the couch, pulling my knees into my chest. I rest my forehead on my knees and start sobbing.
