Special author's note

I first started writing this book when I was thirteen. Thinking I was all mature and had great ideas for a perfect book, when it was just far from that. The first version of this book was only focused on the relationship between Destiny & Conor. The story had no substance to it. It was just cliché and disgustingly cheesy - like honestly I gagged
re-reading it at the age of sixteen.

But then I thought, why not take the characters and put them into another story - one that had a meaning even if a little one. So one day whilst I was taking a shower - noted: shower time equals thinking time for me - I got the idea of Conor and Ashley knowing each other since childhood because they attended the same children's home. This was the basic idea and I took that to build my story around it. I am not sure how successful I was with that, but I know that I turned this book into a better version. It's not perfect nor professional. Actually it is my first try at writing. I have been working on this book for years. I am to turn eighteen in a couple months and only now am I finished with it.

The story is completed but I will be editing the whole thing once again. This book is a work in progress and probably will be for a couple more years. What can I say, I am a perfectionist. I always find something to fix and it takes time, but I won't be able to sleep at night if I don't improve it.

I have had a hard time actually making progress with this book. Most of the time I was unmotivated to write for it. It all started with a single comment that made me want to continue writing and then another followed and another and that is what pushed me to finish off this book. So on this note I want to thank my readers for being loyal and patient - so very patient. I really hope that this book was a good read for you, because that was what I was trying to achieve all this time. To write a book that would entertain but also reach out to you. Even if it made you think once or was relatable at one point - if I achieved that, this book is a success to me.

This book doesn't have an original message, it is more of a reminder. There is always someone going through tough times, always. Sometimes we get caught up in our own misery so much that we drown ourselves in it, making ourselves believe that nothing will ever be the same and everything will be bad for ever. It won't. We sometimes forget about those in worse circumstances. You will never be the only one suffering - people forget that. We are not alone. We all experience pain.

But we still live. We make choices - for the worse or the better - we determine our own lives. So the salvation always lays in your palms. Grasp it and embrace yourself.

Though there are things out of our control, we still have a free will.

It is always up to us - how we cope with things, how we react to situations and how we deal with outcomes.

So know that there is always a way.

We humans can be bomb ass heroes if we want to, let's admit that. We can be survivors. We are able to adjust to any circumstances so that we can survive. Accepting the sometimes very painful truth, we learn how to live with them because we are bomb like that.

So remember: You are a bomb ass heroe.

If you read all of this then congratulations, because you now are officially on my favourite people list !

Once again thank you for sticking around. I love you all. Feel hugged.

And if you are interested to see how my journey will continue, then I would love to meet you again in the comment section of my following works on Wattpad.

Stay golden.

Hugs and kisses,
Deniz.
