"Here is your tea" I said, as I set the blue mug down on the coffee table.

"Thank you" Colin replied, shooting me a grateful smile. Smiling back at him, I sat down on the other sofa.

"Does it still hurt a lot ?" I asked him, eyeing his swollen eye.

"It's okay" he reassured me and I muttered a quiet "okay".

Colin was currently laying on the sofa in my living room with a pack of ice on his eye. After the nurse was finally done with fixing his face as good as she could, I drove Colin over to mine, so that he could rest a bit. Now that his face was clean from all the crusty blood, he actually looked better. His busted lip and swollen eyebrow were the only things to give away that he had been in a fight.

"Are you hungry ? Do you want me to make you something to eat ? Or maybe we could just order food ?" I asked and Colin softly smiled. I was trying to make sure that he felt comfortable. That was the least I could, right ?

"We shouldn't eat much before we go out to a fancy restaurant, right ? I am definitely going to overeat, so I need all the space that I can get in my stomach" he said, taking me by surprise. Frowning, I looked at him.

"I thought you wouldn't want to go after all that has happened" I truthfully admitted and Colin shook his head no.

"Why ? Just because some asshole can't control his anger, doesn't mean that I will let him ruin my day" he responded and this time I smiled.

"Why so positive ?" I wondered out loud.

"Because life is too short for letting shit like this effect you" he said and I nodded my head in agreement.

"That's true" I said, "But we can just order food too. I don't want you to feel like, you have to go to that restaurant with me. We can still eat together here."

"No" he protested, "Everything shall go like planned."

"Okay, whatever you say" I told him, but mentally I wasn't too keen of the idea possibly seeing Conor again. Two times would be too much and I wouldn't be surprised if he decided to tackle down Colin once again.

"Colin" I then began, gaining his attention, "May I... may I ask what happened in the principal's room ?"

My curiosity had been growing this whole damn time ever since the both of them got out of that room. Now that we were comfortably seated in my living room, I thought that this was the perfect time to talk. Colin quietly heaved a sigh and his facial expression hardened at the mention of the fight, but yet he still replied to me.

"We both got detention after school for two weeks, beginning next Monday" he responded, avoiding my eyes.

"I hope not in the same room" I voiced my first thought, making Colin chuckle softly.

"No, thank God. We will be in separate rooms" he clarified and I breathed out in relief. To be honest, now that this fight had occurred, I was actually scared for the both of them to cross paths. Who knew what could possibly happen next.

"Good" I said, "So that was it ? Nothing else ?"

Colin hesitated for a moment, before he eventually spoke up.

"No" he said, but I knew that there was more to say. Yet I didn't want to pressure him into giving me answers. He clearly didn't feel comfortable with it and who was I to push him.

"Okay" I said. "So what movie should we watch ?" I asked, switching the topic and Colin smiled.
