When Evie and Carlos were told that they were put in charge of remaking the Isle of the Lost, the former was excited while the latter was confused as to why he was chosen.

The two were currently in the royal limo, driving to the Isle of the Lost. Evie can see that Carlos was nervous about his new job. He was eating chocolates at an unusually fast rate.

"You don't have anything to worry about," said Evie. "If it makes you feel any better, I'll handle the planning while you just bark orders. Pun intended."

"But why me?" asked Carlos. "Why would Mal ask me to manage Auradon's provision of services to the Isle of the Lost?"

"Maybe because she believes in you," said Evie.

"Or this is probably just some practical joke," replied Carlos sarcastically.

"We're trying to help the poor kids on the Isle live a better life. That's no joke," said Evie.

"It just doesn't make any sense," said Carlos.

Evie scoots over and sits next to the moping tech prodigy. She holds his hand, which makes him face her.

"You have nothing to be afraid of," said Evie. "I know you, Carlos. I know you are capable, more than capable to manage the task at hand. Look at everything you've done since we came to Auradon. Tourney. R.O.A.R. Building that remote thingy that rewrote the code for the barrier around the Isle. Don't forget, you asked out Jane without that truth gummy you asked Mal to make for you. How could you still doubt yourself?"

"This is different," said Carlos. "I'm in charge, well, half-in-charge of a very, very big job. What if I fail? I don't want to fail, but I'm afraid I will."

Evie puts one arm around her friend and presses her head against his. Carlos can feel his face getting hotter as he tries to keep a straight face. He knows that Evie does this to him all the time, but he's still not used to it, for a reason he doesn't know yet.

Evie grabs a piece of chocolate and feeds it to Carlos. After he eats it, she pats him on the head.

"Good boy," said Evie.

Carlos blushes, embarrassed by the treatment but feeling loved nonetheless.

"Mal wouldn't have assigned you this task if she didn't think you can handle this kind of responsibility," said Evie. "You have nothing to worry about. You got me, after all. I'll always be there for you."

Evie kisses Carlos on the cheek.

Carlos blushes from what just happened. "Why do you do this to me?"

"Do what?" asked Evie.

"Leave a lipstick stain on my cheek," said Carlos, wiping the cheek where Evie planted her lips on.

"Awww, what's the matter? Afraid Jane is gonna think you're seeing someone?" teased Evie playfully.

"Maybe," joked Carlos.

Carlos suddenly gets a message on his phone. As if the universe was responding to her name being mentioned, the message was from Jane.

Jane: "Care 2 help me with my Math is Magic homework 2night?"

Carlos texts back. "Sure."

Jane: "Thanks. U r the best guy a girl can ask for. 😘"

Carlos replies. "❤"

"Too cliche," commented Evie.

Evie grabs Carlos' phone and texts, "💕"

Carlos grabs his phone back, glaring daggers at Evie, who simply smiled at him.

Evie and Carlos arrive at the Isle of the Lost. It was safe to say that not all were pleased to see them. Anthony Tremaine, Harriet Hook, and Zevon were scowling at them. Other villain kids like Yzla, Claudine Frollo, and Hadie, on the other hand, were thrilled to see them.

"Hi, everyone," greeted Evie.

Evie nudges Carlos, who looked to intimidated to greet the people of the Isle.

"Uh, hi," greeted Carlos.

"What are you goody-goodies doing back here?" asked Zevon.

"Lady Mal has issued some changes for the Isle of the Lost," said Evie. "As we speak, a ship is on its way here to distribute food, water, clothing, and other supplies in hopes that your time here will be deprived of misery and hardship."

"And Mal thinks she can butter us up with that?" questioned Harriet.

"Yes," answered Evie.

"And what are you two even doing here?" asked Anthony, sounding as monotonous as always.

Evie nudges Carlos on the shoulder again. She gives him the scroll she was just holding.

"Um..." Carlos hesitated. After clearing his throat, he speaks. "Ms. Evie and I are here t-t-to... take requests. We are going to ask each and every one of you to write down a request for the King. A request to help improve your, um, your, your lifestyle."

"If you would all just follow us to the docks, you'll see," said Carlos.

Carlos and Evie led dozens of kids and teenagers towards the docks, where the supply ship was approaching. On their way, they run into another familiar face they didn't want to see. Harry Hook.

"Well, well, well," he started. "The so-called Princess of the Isle and the little coward."

"Nice to see you, too, Harry," said Evie with full sarcasm and zero sincerity.

"I'm flattered my presence brightens your day," said Harry, misreading Evie's words.

Harry runs his hook through Evie's ocean blue locks, until Carlos smacks his hand off Evie's hair and steps in front of his friend.

"Back off, Harry," said Carlos.

"Bold of you, Carlos," said Harry, impressed by the puppy lover's valiance.

"Why don't you go back to brooding over Uma?" said Evie. "Dizzy told me you've been going nuts since she left."

"You two have no idea what's about go down," said Harry.

He mockingly bows before them before wandering off. He pushes a man fishing by the water off the wooden fence he was sitting on, causing him to drop into the water.

"I hate that guy," said Carlos.

"Should we help him?" asked Evie, gesturing to the man who was just pushed to the water.

Carlos and Evie take off their jackets before hopping into the water.

Meanwhile, in a secluded area on the Isle, a certain aqua-haired sea witch transforms her tentacles into legs as she left the waters and walked on land.

"Let's get this party started," said Uma, laughing evilly.
