Ever since Cotillion, Uma has been in hiding. She found a sea cave close to the waters that were blocked by the barrier around the Isle of the Lost. Every day, she would take a peek above the surface and see Harry on board the Lost Revenge. He looked so lost, and she knew it was because she wasn't there for him.
Harry may be a capable pirate, but he was a lost boy, whether he liked to admit it or not. He needed Uma, and she knew it. She just watched the new captain of her crew pace back and forth with a broken expression.
"Hey, Harry," called Gil.
"What?" asked Harry, sounding agitated.
"Someone's watching us," said Gil.
Gil pointed at what appears to be a head popping out of the water. Harry recognized those aqua blue braids anywhere.
"Uma," he said.
He and Gil board a rowboat and row towards who they believe to be Uma. The rowboat hits the barrier, preventing them from rowing any further. Good news is that Uma was only a few feet away from them. She rises higher, revealing herself to her old friends.
"You came back," said Harry.
"I never left," said Uma.
Harry wanted to touch Uma's face with his hook, but the barrier can only let him reach so far.
"Don't worry," said Uma. "I'm gonna get you out of here."
"How?" asked Gil. "I don't think Mal and her friends are just gonna hand over the wand unless we kidnap the king again."
"I'll find a way," promised Uma. "Until then, watch my crew for me."
"They're in safe hands," promised Harry.
Uma slowly descends into the waters. Gil can see the frown on Harry's face as he watched his beautiful sea witch disappear from his sight.

Mal had just finished washing her hair in the bathroom and comes out to find Doug working on Evie's laptop, balancing her accounts.
"Hi, Mal," said Doug.
"I hope you don't mind Doug staying here to calculate my finances," said Evie.
"Hey, business is business," approved Mal.
Mal sat on her bed and dried her hair as she watched Evie and Doug smiling at each other. Evie affectionately holds Doug's hand, which makes Mal looks away.
"I think you missed a couple hundred bucks there," said Evie, pointing at the screen.
"Oops. My bad," said Doug, fixing his mistake.
"You're so adorable when you're acting like dork," said Evie.
Evie kissed Doug on the cheek and Mal can only roll her eyes at the sight of this. She was happy for Evie, she really was, but she couldn't just sit back and watch her dance her feelings around Carlos with that sickening smile on her face.
No matter what, her plans go down as intended. She just has to figure out her next move.

Later that day, Mal was sitting in the conference room, thinking about what she would do next to Evie and Carlos.
"Hey."
Mal stops contemplating when she heard the voice of her boyfriend, King Ben, who was sitting next to her.
"Are you ready?" he asked her.
"As ready as I'll ever be," said Mal nervously.
"Hey, you'll do great," said Ben confidently.
"You have so much faith me," said Mal with a smile. "Maybe a little too much."
"There is no such thing as too much," said Ben.
Ben kisses Mal's hand, causing his Lady to blush.
Princess Aurora and Prince Philip, Queen Ariel and King Eric, Queen Cinderella and King Charming, and Aladdin and Jasmine enter the conference room. Cogsworth checks his pocket watch and sees that they were right on time.
"I take it Queen Leah was unavailable today?" asked Mal, facing said queen's children.
"We figured this meeting would be a little more orderly if she took my place at the meeting in Camelot," said Aurora.
"So, we're here to discuss the transfer of more villain kids from the Isle to Auradon, correct?" asked Aladdin.
"I just want to make sure every kingdom is content with my decision," said Ben. "After what happened at Family Day and then with Uma, I knew that there would be turmoil concerning inviting more villain kids to live in our great land."
"I know my mother's already against it," commented Aurora.
"But Aurora and I are supportive of your decision, your majesty," said Philip.
"Thank you," said Ben. "Mal, would you like to tell everyone about your big plan for the Isle?"
Mal clears her throat and straightens her back as she prepares to speak.
"Hi," she greeted casually.
Everyone greeted the Lady of the Court awkwardly.
After adjusting her hair and her tiara, Mal continues. "I've been doing a lot of thinking about this matter, and I have come up with the best solution to prepare the villain kids for Auradon without actually inviting them to Auradon."
"And that would be...?" asked Cinderella.
"Making the Isle more inhabitable," said Mal. "Better food. Better shelter. Better environment. That way, they will begin to warm up to the good people of Auradon, and when they get their chance, they can come and live here in harmony."
"If anyone has any objections, raise your hand," said Ben.
All hands stayed on the table. Everyone approves of Mal's plan.
"One more thing," said Mal. "I would like to task Councilor Evie and my good friend, Carlos De Vil, with the responsibility to taking charge of the rebuilding of the Isle. I trust them with my life."
"No need for a vote. I already approve," said Ben.
Mal disguised her smirk in the form of a smile. Kill two birds with one stone, she thought.
Remember Dove Cameron's appearance on Shark Tank? That was my inspiration for Mal's idea for the Isle.
Also, Uma is coming. Beware! This is more than just a Carvie story. It will continue some stories where Descendants 2 left off. You've seen the cast list, but it's gonna take some time for me before I introduce every single one.
